The Beach

by Harshita Das aged 11

I stand on the sand filled beach
Laid gently on the ground
The tides come racing towards me
With a splashing sound

Scattered pearls and shells
Gleam golden in the Sun
The merry voices laugh and play
As the children have a lot of fun

The Sun is high up above
Watching us from the skies
Its coat glimmers brilliant in gold
As it says goodbye
