As the Sun Sets

by Ivy aged 10

As the sun sets
Below the valleys,
Children are running home,
Safe and happy.

As the moon rises,
The children are tucked into bed,
Being wished a good night,
And that lone wolf hides away,
Out of sight.

As the sun rises,
The children wake up,
They yawn at dawn,
And they find school is a waste of their morning,
But kids must grow.

And as the sun sets,
All the little kids
Head to bed.
