As The Autumn Season Takes Over

by Abigail Silvester aged 14

As the temperature falls at a worrying pace,
and the wind nips and bites at your face,
the clouds go from white to grey
and the sun slowly fades away,
I step outside breathing in the fresh air,
as I let the strong wind flow through my hair.
I see bright orange leaves sweep gently to the ground,
not even making the slightest sound.
People pull there coats on tighter,
but the grins on their faces grow wider and wider.
I feel peace in the month of October,
as the autumn season slowly takes over
