Once I went to the Jungle
And I was all alone
I wasn’t scared
Even though I was on my own
I heard the lions roaring
But the birds chirping calmed me down
I saw animals which were in the circus
And animals which weren’t in town
I saw an elephant
And many animals which were in the zoo
I saw a deer
And a kangaroo too
Then I camped out
With bats on my head
And a lot of creepy sounds
I set up my bed
It was really comfortable
With squirrels on my feet
I woke up
And sat on my seat
I picked some mushrooms
And had some beetroot
And some fruit
Then with my squirrel friends
I curled up in the heather
And started knitting a little
For I had brought some leather
I gave the squirrel some nuts and tidbits
From my lunch
But it wasn’t lunch time yet
So I may as well call it brunch
I listened to the chirping birds
And tried to sing their song but it was just too complicated
And just too long
Then I sat on the toadstools with those frogs
But they just ran away so I had to sit on a log
Finally I’ll go back
I’ll miss the jungle very much
But I’m sure that
I’m gonna keep in touch
I’ll miss the tigers
And the squirrels with their nuts
It’s time to go back
Into my hut
