A mermaid’s Christmas is a happy event
Where mermaids come together to celebrate

Christmas caves are decorated with gems and shells
and starfish fairy lights shimmer fantastically
The Christmas tree is made from seaweed
With coral baubles and a pearl on top.

They have a Christmas feast with
Mussels, clams, oysters and tuna.
And toast ‘Merry Christmas’
with delicious Seaweed cocktails.

They pull oyster shells apart for crackers
Wear pearl crowns for party hats.
They make sandmen on the sea bed
With shells for their smile, gems for eyes
And driftwood for their noses.

Dolphins pull their mer-sleigh,
delivering presents containing gifts of the sea
Finally, the mermaids happily go to bed
after their extremely busy day.
