A Magnum Storm

by Maria da Graça Andrade Dias Ferreira de Carvalho aged 17

In the middle of the heavens
a ray of light shone,
through the land of the angels,
just as they flew,
emerged passerby,
a colossal wind that grew.

An infant was spotted.
A child loved.
And just then on the carol
Mr. Nightingale
thanked the trees,
the skies and the seas,
for it all was to be dwelled in once more.
