I went to the circus yesterday
Saw an elephant that could say, “Hey!”
A giraffe that could dance and prance,
Also a dog who did ballet.

Until I visited the zoo, I never knew
That elephant poop could smell like a stinky old shoe!
Or that a monkey could swing and, with a “Ka-ching!”
Snatch away someone’s sparkling wedding ring.

Then at the pet shop, what did I see? A kitten with mittens.
And a dog named Jerry, who was quite hairy.
I went home with a kitten, who loved eating chicken,
And purring in the kitchen.
