Everyone always seems to forget what things were like 100 years ago.
But sometimes I sit and wonder what people used to do.
Did cruel teachers beat you and make you black and blue?
I wonder what they played for lots of different games.
Did they play leap frog or had that not been invented yet?
Or did they sit and think of all the things they could do?
What would they do if they ran out of food?
Would they run away or would they sit and stay?
I wish I could see what it was like when children had maids and parents didn’t care!
But I think I’ll just stick to now.
Oh, I wonder what it was like a hundred years ago.
