Pain

by Dark Hart

I lie dead beat to the floor
my blood on your hands
you leave me alone
I lie dead
with pain in my heart

Hurt You

0
by Heather

I did not mean too
but I did
I hurt you
the fear in your eyes was real
so I will let you go
I love you
I’m sorry
I miss you
good bye
I will die

Winter

0
by Tzopher

Betwixt the grasping fingers of long-dead trees,
Fly a thousand ice-bound pleas
Borne aloft on the breath of a frozen mouth,
O’er distant lands and white-capped seas.
From the grey skies comes mournful lament;
The north winds howl unearthly dissent;
Loneliness, without reprise.

Kristallnact 1938

by Lingling Bao-Smith

Innocent Jewish people
Houses burnt to the ground
Windows smashed into shards
The night of broken glass

Two days and nights
People got beaten
Over one thousand synagogues charred and lifeless
Seven thousand five hundred Jewish businesses ransacked

Over ninety one Jews dead
Thirty thousand Jewish men arrested
For being Jewish
Concentration camps became larger

In the night of broken glass

Why Discriminate When We Are All the Same?

1
by Lingling Bao-Smith

Everyone has memories, good and bad
Everyone has emotions, happy and sad
Everyone has a heart beating away,
Why do people say we are not the same?

We all have skin whatever color it may be,
We all have eyes, so we can see
We all have humor, all different but may not be sane,
Why discriminate when we are all the same?

Please Don’t Go

1
by Joel Adams

Nobody ever knows
Nobody ever sees
I left my soul
Back there, now I’m too weak
Most nights I pray for you to come home
Praying to the Lord
Praying for my soul

Now Please Don’t Go
Most nights I hardly sleep when I’m alone
Now Please Don’t Go, oh no
I think of you whenever I’m alone
So Please Don’t Go

Because I don’t ever want to know
Don’t ever want to see things change
because when I’m living on my own
I’ll wanna take it back and start again
Most nights I pray for you to come home
Praying to the Lord
Praying for my soul

Now Please Don’t Go
Most Nights I hardly sleep when I’m alone
Now Please Don’t Go, oh no
I think of you whenever I’m alone
So Please Don’t Go

I send so many messages, you don’t reply!
I gotta figure out what am I missing, babe!
Singing now
And I need you now, I need your love!

Now Please Don’t Go
Most Nights I hardly sleep when I’m alone
Now Please Don’t Go, oh no
I think of you whenever I’m alone
So Please Don’t
Please Don’t Go

Please Don’t Go
Please Don’t Go
Please Don’t Go
I think of you whenever I’m alone
So Please Don’t Go

How Can One…

3
by Natalia Coiro

How can one taste
if food is tasteless?

How can one smell
if the smell is odorless?

How can one feel
if there is nothing to touch?

How can one live
if life is bland?

So live life to the fullest
a glass half full.

Live to be happy
like a puppy.

Live like there’s no tomorrow
because tomorrow will never come.

The Mysterious Door

0
by Sophie and Chloe

I open the mysterious door
and what do I see?
A baby screaming
A gold floor gleaming
A bucket of dinosaurs
and rusty, old floors
A mother whining
and the stopwatch timing

I close the door
and slowly tread on the floor

British Heroes

by Connor Simmons

Are the people who put our lives first.

Are the people who save our lives every day.

Are the people who defend this beloved country.

Are the people who protect the Queen with all their strength.

Are the people who are proud to be British.

Are the people who fight for our independence.

Are the people who serve in the British Army
