All Alone

1
by Kian Hartley

My life is not worth living anymore
I have no-one
The cold damp night is closing in on me yet again, like a dark blanket of infinite sadness.
Here I am, cold and alone, my stomach is hurting with the hunger pangs,
but I have nowhere warm or a safe place left to go.

What can I do?
No one will help me!
No money, nothing in the world to call my own, no way out of this mess.
Here I am in the darkness, trying to get warm.
Crying, the salty tears running down my cold dirty cheeks,
trying to think of something, anything I can do.
But there’s nothing, I am all alone.

What have I done to deserve this?
Why me? Why am I so unlucky that I can’t even have a normal life?
All I want is to find someone to love me, a family and a place to call home.
Is this how my life will end?
Alone, cold and hungry, but…
no one cares

A Posterity without Hope

0
by Fathima Muneer

Murders, crimes, and deaths,
Are all I see in front of me.
Bloodshed cries
Are all I hear around me.

Democracy has vanished
Justice has been deprived of,
The unity has been long gone,
And secularism ceases to exist.

Day by day the violence increases,
Day by day the anger never decreases,
The world is obnoxious with dread,
Not a person left to trust.

Yet here I sit,
Grieving for luxury,
While all I wish is for a light of hope,
A light amidst all of my darkness.

Crept up in loneliness and hopelessness,
Lifeless and ambitionless,
Grieving for hope,
When will new dawn arise?
When will a new chapter begin?
An end to my sufferings?
But alas! I am far from hope

A Stunning Visual

1
by Tamizh Ponni VP

In the wake of the rain, I glimpsed a magic
That lit up the world with flare and frolic
Rubbing my eyes, I gaped in awe
Across the skies as murky clouds moved
Violet brought in the vivacity
Through tons of tints, smooth and slinky
Indigo glitzed it all up with radiance
While lucid lights dyed the vapoury lenses
Blue’s brilliance shone so bold
Azure and sapphire; cyan in fold
Green was glossy with lustrous shine
Gleaming and glowing; fair and fine
Yellow’s golden flash, envied the rich
Holding them colours by an invisible stitch
Orange’s beams were soft and slight
Painting the space with a gaudy patch
Thanks to red and its jazzy hues
The sky blushed like a deep red rose
Trimming the clouds with vivid bows
Their origin and end, nobody knows.

The Creature

1
by Samuel

It was damp and dark,
the wind rustling against my arms,
then boom, I saw the terrifying creature
staring right at me.
Its bright blue eyes,
its nasty fangs,
the hideous ears,
what more would a child want to have
as a monster.
There was nothing worse.
It would make you spend hours working
with no break,
no chance to go to the loo.
And you know who that creature was.
It was my teacher, Miss Patricia Wu.

The Snake

The slithering spine of the smart snake
Glistening in the light
Scaly and succulent
Shimmering, glistening in the night shine.
Yet upon the extravagant creature is his prey.
Thy breath tightens when one comes upon this creature
Beady crystal eyes blinging in my sight

Wake Me

2
by Caitlyn

I’m in a nightmare and I can’t get out
so please wake me.
I’m surrounded with all my fears
so please wake me.
I’m scared and I don’t know what to do
so please wake me.
Family and friends are gone and now I’m alone
so please wake me.
I’m sick and I fear I will die
so please wake me.
These nightmares scare me
so please wake me.
When will this end? I do not know
but please wake me.

Sticks, Stones, Guns, Words.

THIS IS A POEM ABOUT BULLYING.

Sticks and stones
may break my bones,
they strike me and I recoil.
I hide inside,
afraid to die
’cause horrid monsters wait outside.
They punch, they kick
and make me sick,
through actions, fists and guns.
I run from them,
from all the pain
at least I think I’ve done…

Words,
breaking my heart.
Irreparable,
the damage cannot be taken back.
A heart attack,
my heart, it’s breaking!
How come?
There are no sticks or stones or guns!
I hate this place no peace.
I’ll paint the walls red.
Confetti strung up from the ceiling tied around my neck.
Ballon bobbing lively, unlike my stone-cold body.
The punch flows freely, unlike my blood, dead still in my veins.
The words on the walls. In red.
Insulting.
Spitting with vile disgust.
Take these words, as I have taken my life.
Kill these words.
Kill my pain

The Monster’s Tooth

by Elsie

Once a monster strolled through the woods
He walked into some tall trees in the wood that stood
The monster who walked into the tall wood that stood had a peculiar spear-like tooth
The spear-like tooth of the monster who walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear like tooth was weirdly magical looking
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, was slimy and green
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking that was slimy and green, was also sparkling and wonky
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, that was slimy and green, that was also sparkling and wonky, had super powers
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, that was slimy and green, that was also sparkling and wonky, that had super powers, was sticking out of his mouth
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, that was slimy and green, that was also sparkling and wonky, that had super powers, that was sticking out of his mouth, had fallen on the ground
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, that was slimy and green, that was also sparkling and wonky, that had super powers, that was sticking out of his mouth, that had fallen on the ground, was rolling around
The monster that walked into the tall wood that stood’s peculiar spear-like tooth that was weirdly magical looking, that was slimy and green, that was also sparkling and wonky, that had super powers…… Now I’m confused!

The Future

by Jane Edwards

Humans? What ho!
They expired long ago
It’s robots now
and don’t-you-know
we need no car if we want to go
to the beach?
What’s that you preach?
They are a figment of the past
like trees and oxygen
never to last.
Now, now, don’t look so very glum!
Our amusements are heaps more fun!
By techslide, portal, even screen
you can visit any scene
hover-park, museum , friends on Mars
or perhaps you like more exotic stars?
So roll up, roll up!
ditch that out-dated past
because the future, man,
it’s really a blast!
