My Sister

by Evie aged 7

last week was mysterious
I went to my sister’s house
it’s mysterious because I sat in the front of her car
with no seat
at bedtime we stayed up late
my sister is called charlie
she’s 16
she’s really nice to me
my other sister is moody
charlie is pretty
she dies her hair every week
joking every year
she dies her hair joking
I dont know HOW MANY TIMES SHE HAS TO DIE IT

(Thank you charlie for having me)

Secret Lover

4
by Emily Allard aged 10

I have a crush,
On a boy I know,
But he loves someone else,
He knows about me crushing him!
And so is my BFF
I fake being friends with his girlfriend!
Because she is horrid to me!
But she does it to make me sad.
All I want is TRUE LOVE, You See!

I live with my dad

because he looks after me more

I love my dad

He loves me too

I love going out with him

every week

It is fun

He lets me stay up late

The Risk

0
by Luca Raine- Armijo aged 11

The risk – one turn, left or right?
Left is immutable beauty
Right… immortality.
The choice between the two
Without even a hint or a clue,
So I’ll take the risk.

Mother or Father?
The choice that swells you up and
Makes your love for both of them
Miniscule and plain.
If you take care of me
Then we’ll have to see
But I’ll take that risk.

The final dilemma.
Bitter and sad.
My love and my best friend.
As the final tear of choice
Runs down my cheek
I’ll take one, last risk.

My Secret Crush

by Courtney aged 8

My secret crush
has red hair
and when I’m in class
he gives a lovely stare.

He never gives up
he’s the best of them all
and I’m in luck
he’s a single pringle.

He’s best at maths
also multiplication.
But I’m really lucky
today he’s asking me out.

Lost In Thought

0
by Camilla Ededjo aged 12

Am I caged?
Destined to hide in the shadows
Of the school corridors?
To never show my face in front of you,
And clear the path when you come through?

Am I blocked?
Doomed to lurk when you come round
In the immense school playground?
Is there an invisible barrier there
To stop me from getting close to you?

Am I locked?
To only be able to see in form
And yet don’t talk to you there?
Why can’t you come and talk,
Is there something off about me?

I guess I’m not destined for this.
