My Mum is Fabulous

by Daisy aged 6

My mum is fabulous
because she makes the best dinners
My mum is fabulous
because she swings me on the swing
My mum is fabulous
because she turns on the tele.
I love my mum.

My Bear

by Jasmine aged 6

I had a bear,
Who didn’t care,
That it had lost most of its hair
It’s still my bear,
And I don’t care,
I still love my baldy bear

A Young Bad Habit

2
by Isabelle C. aged 8

All children have bad habits…
except me!
They made fun of me
I did not like it at all
It was dreadful!
In class I had all the work
while the other children had fun
I think it is time for them to learn a lesson
So then I said, ‘Having bad habits sucks.’
And they said, ‘You suck.’
and I said ‘If you have a bad habit you have to go to jail.’
‘Who made that law?’
I said, ‘The Queen’
Now I get to play and they have to learn. 🙂

Snowy Day

by Eimear T aged 4

The snow dropped on my snowman
and all over the grass.
It was white all over the place
even on trees and even on plants.
It was such a snowy day.

Thinking About Mummy

2
by SJ Boots aged 6

I love mummy because she is nice to me
I love mummy because she is thoughtful to me
I love her and she loves me
when I feel sad she hugs me
And when I leave the house she gets sad!
But, when I come back she starts to kiss and hug me!
I love you mummy, very much!!!

My Hands

2
by St Augustine's Yr 2 aged 6-7

My hands are amazing,
I can touch a slimy, slippery slug,
I can touch a delightful, pretty lollipop,
I can touch a leaping, bumpy baby frog that jumps,
I can touch a cold, melting ice cube that sits in my pink lemonade.

My hands are fantastic,
I can touch a little, furry chick,
I can touch a green, bruised apple,
I can touch a smooth, solid book that I can read.

My hands are great,
I can touch a crumbly, crunchy biscuit,
I can touch a red, snappy crab,
I can touch a smooth, glimmering diamond that sits deep in a cave.

My hands are wonderful,
I can touch an old, wonky wall,
I can touch a snuggly, warm daddy,
I can touch a pretty, blue butterfly that lives in a meadow.

Moving House

by Talia Rose Sandford aged 4

I feel very excited about sleeping at Nana and Papa’s.
They give me chocolate as soon as I wake up.
My Nana feels very excited as well.
My Papa feels very excited as well as my Nana.

I feel very happy but sad to leave this house.
I will miss my bedroom.
Tomorrow I am moving house.

I feel very happy, extremely happy about going to our new house.
It will be a long walk to school.
It will take a very long time to get to school.
I am looking forward to all the big space in our new house.
