Ice-Cream

by Bhavya Das aged 5

Ice-cream is very cold
It tastes like ice
And when you taste, you’ll feel like eating it thrice
On the top of it is a strawberry
We eat it in summer
But then she doesn’t allow me to eat it. Oh, Mama!
I like ice cream
And eating it is a dream

Five Mad Dinosaurs

1
by William Pegg aged 6

Five Mad Dinosaurs
shutting the door
One trapped his claw
Then there were four.

Four mad dinosaurs
climbed a tree
One fell down
Then there were three

Three mad dinosaurs
went to the zoo
One got lost
Then there were two

Two mad dinosaurs
lying in the sun
One burnt his back
Then there was one

One mad dinosaur
being a hero
He banged into the wall
Then there were zero!!!

I’m in a flower garden, there’s so much to see,
I can see beautiful flower’s, busy bees
I can see a gardener watering
But the best thing is to have a shower
under the rain [water from watering can]
Oh yeah I forgot, let me introduce myself,
I am Bristule the butterfly.

Flowers are lovely
Lilies are joyful
Orchids are beautiful
We all love flowers
Everyone likes daisies
Roses are red
Someone in the world must love all the flowers
and that person is me!

I saw a little robin sitting in a tree ,
The pretty little robin waved its wing at me,
I held out my hand with some bread from my tea,
The pretty little robin came and sat on me.

My Sparkly Box

1
by Belle Bridgett aged 7

I will put in the box
The shiny whiskers of a Persian
A violet tree made out of luna
A summer song of a nightingale
A ruby stamp from the Royal Mail

I will put in the box
A scarf of snowflakes from the Himalayas
Rainforest weather set up in layers
A face of a totem pole
A battling tiger’s soul

My box is fashioned from black and blue
It is covered in silvery dew
Attached with diamonds all so new
My sparkly box
