First Poems

There is wildlife everywhere,
Of which we should take really good care,
They live all around,
They all make different sounds,
Now it is time to leave them alone and say goodbye,
And we should never wonder why.

Summer is nice,
Summer is warm
The blazing sun and breezing wind.
Having fun in the sun,
Enjoying a fresh lemon squeeze
Running and playing every day
Having a picnic in the sun any day!

Mini eggs are funny
and sometimes even very dotty
Mini eggs are scrummy
Mini eggs are sometimes very, very yummy.

We spent so much of our time at home,
Sometimes it was boring, we felt all alone.

We woke up in the morning and exercised with Joe,
We did it with our family, but they were slow.

Our teacher rang us on the phone to see if we were OK,
We loved speaking to our teacher, we wish we could have done every day.

We missed our class so much, we couldn’t wait to see them,
We was so ready to go, we bought new pencils and a new pen.

On the first day back, we felt nervous and unsure,
However, we soon felt happy when we walked through school’s door.

We had our own desk, we had our worksheets too,
We took part in lots of fun lessons, many things to do!

We are super happy to be back as a team,
So happy we want to SCREAM!

Little Red Riding Hud had a cape of red
A wolf was asleep in her Nana’s bed

Little Red Riding Hud got someone
To save the day

I’m gonna be bored later,
bored as ever.
I’m gonna be eating later,
as much as ever.

Like the flower, I’m here to blossom
Like the moon, I’m here to glow
Like the rocket, I’m here to zoom
Like the river, I’m here to flow.
Like the sun, I’m here to shine
Like the tree, I’m here to grow

The hare is fast
and the tortoise is slow.
The hare eats carrots
And that is what I know.

They had a little race
And do you know?
The Silly old hare
Was really slow.

Racism is bad, it’s boring!
If we work together, we can stop it.
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
They cannot change the colour of their skin!
Racism makes parts of the Earth burn
The colour of people’s skin doesn’t matter!
Do not treat black people or brown people badly,
WE ARE ALL EQUAL!

I love you,

You are the best sister,
You are so kind to everyone else,
You are the best sister I could ask for.
