Gripping on to the roof above,
Melting by the second,
Drops of water sliding down,
Falling to the ground,
It glistens as the sun shines through,
Rays of light are spread around,
The icicle is melting as the sun comes out.
Competition Entry
Cat and Christmas
They were a little cat
and it was Christmas Eve
Some cats have presents
Some dogs don’t
Winter Fairies
Winter fairies have come,
They’re special and like no other
They are boarding their special plane
Task 1:
Spread large amounts of snow all over England
”Check!” they say in their squeaky voices
Task 2:
Wrap trees in tinsel, fashioning them like scarves
”Not to worry, it’s complete!” they say cheekily
Task 3:
Make this the best winter ever
”Judging by these people’s faces I think it is!”
Then they leave.
That’s their routine
Last Wish
She sat in bed thinking,
it was all she could ever do
THINK.
She knew it was Christmas.
She couldn’t speak, eat normally and was deaf
”Don’t worry Isabella.” said her mum
who was the merriest person she knew.
The next day she ate an apple,
SHE COULD EAT
She heard carols being sung
SHE COULD HEAR
She could say her breakfast order when her mum took her out to eat
SHE COULD SPEAK
”A Christmas miracle,” she said, laughing
The Christmas Eve
On the Christmas Eve,
The land of Greenstotle Kingdom was bleak
Humanity pillars stood hard as iron
And there was complete mourning.
Miles away, in the city of Arcansia,
There was snow and frost.
In the dreams of Queendom,
Reindeers flew over the kingdom,
The jingling bells and Latrin birds reminded of Cripes,
And welcomed the lord God almighty- Jesus Christ.
In the heaven,
The angles watched all
And their blessings fell
And yes!
It is a happy place now for the good ones.
For those who stood as iron,
Were given a bliss,
While the others were winnowed by the winds.
On the Christmas Eve,
The earth washed all the evils and devils
And retained the ones who were virtuous.
To the Earth and the land,
It was a lesson by the almighty God
Our lord- Jesus Christ.
Festive Cheer
The Christmas pudding sits on the table
which is decorated with festive cheer.
The Christmas pud looks good!
A little cherry sits upon the cake,
icing smothered upon it,
lots of candles are dotted around.
The Christmas pudding shines.
Christmas is Coming
Christmas is coming, there’ll be laughter, there’ll be joy.
Christmas is coming with an excited little boy.
He’s hanging up his stocking, getting stroked on the head
and then going to sleep in his nice cosy bed.
When he wakes up in the morning
he’ll be happy as can be
for when he wakes up in the morning
there’ll be presents for you and me!
Walking Talking Winter
Winter walks towards England
Bellowing, he cries,”I’m here, bring Santa,
an old friend of mine. Where is my tinsel and roast
turkey?”
This year is looking a little murky!
So winter walks and talks so much that
his spit becomes the snow.
His walking becomes large gusts
of wind.
Couples huddle together and
Winter is turning into a jigsaw!
Some pieces do, some don’t
but that is the very heart of Winter.
A Christmas Wish
She sat there
By the window,
Snowflakes falling
Ground full of white stuff,
She never got to play in it
The orphanage didn’t allow it.
After all
She couldn’t disobey the rules,
She was an orphan
Like the other 49,
She watched through the window
On a lonely Christmas Eve,
Parents and kids outside
Shopping for presents.
That night
She made her wish,
As she went to bed
She hoped and prayed,
Then
Christmas Day came.
Her wish
Had come true,
For next Christmas Eve
She wasn’t alone,
She had a new family
One to play in the snow with,
One to buy presents for,
One to love forever.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve every year,
Santa and his elves make presents to deliver,
On every evening on Xmas eve,
Santa jumps down the chimneys,
He creeps into your room and fills up,
Fills up your stocking-up to the top,
Then he slips back round to your living room,
And surrounds the tree with cards and gifts,
He finds the mince pies and glass of milk,
And the carrot for Rudolf and the reindeer,
After that off he goes,
Out into the darkness,
Has anyone seen his workshop,
Nobody knows…
