Friends and Family

Friends and family is what matters, so grab a snack and let’s begin…

Our friends are our supporters, no matter what.
They care for you and are the best thing you could have in your life.
your family loves you so much and they care so much.
When you were a baby your parents loved you as much as they do now.

That’s why your friends and family matter

My Golden Star Mum!

0
by Zainab Bibi Abdulhaq Data aged 16

My mum is the best,
The best I’ve ever had!
She cooks our meals,
Breakfast, lunch and supper!
She’s always there for us,
Whenever we feel sad, angry or worried,
She’s there to make us feel better,
Even if she’s not well!
She makes sure we are safe and happy!
She works like a star!
No one can never beat her,
She’s very clever,
And beautiful too!
We all love our mum,
Because she never gives up,
To make sure we have a great life!
3 BIG Cheers,
For my mum!
Hip hip hooray!
I love you mummy!

My Lockdown Poem

I have enjoyed all the sunny days
and the stormy ones,
when the wind sways

My brother Conor is yelling down my ear,
but I just want some peace to write,
right here

About Friends

by Kyla Newbury-rawlings aged 10

Friends are kind and helpful you can give them your secrets
and they’re safe with your friend,
My friend makes sure that if something of mine is broken
she will make sure it mends,
Friends never leave your side,
Friends make sure you’re all right if you have cried,

Missing You

0
by Ruby Grace aged 11

Ok, I’ll admit it, I miss you
Really, really bad
I’m fed up of having a sit down in your garden
I’m kinda a bit mad
I know everyone is going through the same
But I feel so isolated and alone
Without you there to cheer me up
I’m a miserable girl at home

It’s my Birthday today
But can’t have the annual pizza night
I have to sit with my annoying sister
Underneath a bright light
Grandma, I miss your biscuits
Uncle, your sweets aren’t the same
As the one we get from Co-op
I know, they’re kinda lame

Never thought I’d say this
But I miss dividing and maths
Instead the highlight of my week
Is having a cold bath
My friends are going to a different secondary
Some are staying with me
But this ‘virus’ thing has torn us apart
And I don’t wanna leave

Family has always been important
And friends even so
But now I’m praying really hard
That we can meet when the germs go
I appreciate the NHS
Even though the clap has stopped
I hope you all stay safe and sound
Ok guys, I miss you all a lot

My Family

The people who are there to support me all the time.
The masters of telling tales.
As if I’ve committed a crime!.
They make the dinner, wash the dishes.
You can have any family members including fishes!.
We do things together.
I love them all forever.
They teach me how to be very clever!.
They’re always there for you no matter what
Even if Mum’s lost the plot!!.

I love my family. Xxx

My Friend

hate you,
I will never.
say goodbye to not arguing,
lady.

I love you, not
you’re like an eagle, dangerous.

(now read it, bottom to top, take out all of the ‘not’s to see how i really see her)

My Family

My family helps me succeed
and gives me everything that I need
they help me with my homework
even when I am frustrated and go berserk

They have supported me through Lockdown
at the times when I present a big frown
they have given me everything I need to help me cope
and told me to believe and have some hope

I remember when my family pranked my dad
he was fooled and nearly went mad
we laughed and laughed because it was funny
and then my sister hiccuped apparently like a bunny

I love them so much
and me and my sister give them a clutch
I will never forget this moment in time
and will always read this little rhyme.

My Family Members Are Who I Really Miss

2
by Elsie aged 14

To think what it was like before this all happened,
To think that now it’s come to a temporary end,
Every Friday Nana and Gramps would come round to our house,
We’d talk, chat and enjoy ourselves,
Gramps would tell stories and make us laugh,
Nana would help paint and do art and craft,
We’d see our Nanny and Papa each week,
We’d go there every few weekends for the day and to sleep,
Nanny’d always make a delicious chicken soup,
Papa would play guitar and teach us to play too,
Our Uncle and Auntie we saw quite often,
Along with our little toddler cousin,
We’d watch her crawl around and try to teach her to talk,
We’d laugh and giggle as she tried to walk,
Our Granny and Grandad live next door,
So we can see them most of the time – for sure,
I love it when Granny and Grandad give us treats,
Something Granny’s baked or chocolate to eat,
I love to draw pictures for them to stick on their fridge,
My family members are who I really miss,
I wish for everything to go back to the way it was,
But will it ever be back to normal?
Back to the normal as we knew it before?
