What is Vision?

0
by Charlotte Stringer aged 11

Vision is art
Vision is the people close to your heart
Vision is music ringing in your ears
Vision is fears
Vision is colours of a beautiful rainbow
Like an erupting volcano
Vision is the ink on the pages of a book
Vision is a smile or a look

These are things most of us can see
But for some this is not the case
For they live in a deep dark place
Some may see very little colour
Others see much duller
Those who are fortunate enough to read the words I have written on these pages.
Take a moment to think about what life would be if you were unable to see.

Look Out To See

The golden sands shine,
With a glint that is divine.
Breathe…sway. A new day.

My Three Little Cats

0
by Patrick Jurczyk aged 11

I have three little cats
They’re all very small
And sometimes they will throw their food out their bowl.
And after all that food they won’t go to the loo
They will all be sick on the floor.
But all after that they will go to sleep and forget it all.

Little Ladybird

by Georgina Williams aged 8

Flash of red
Black spots
Legs as thin as an eyelash
Tickling my hand

Two white eyes
Two tiny white nostrils
Glossy black head
Wings fluttering

Ladybird, you are my friend.

Coronavirus Spreading All Round

0
by Georgina Williams aged 8

Coronavirus spreading all round,
Across the streets,
Across the town,
Coronavirus is spreading all round.

Coronavirus spreading all round,
Bored at home with nothing to do,
Nothing to see but empty streets,
Coronavirus is spreading all round.

Coronavirus spreading all round,
But we shall beat it,
Whatever it takes,
Now – Coronavirus is stopping all round!

This is the World I See

0
by Audrey Ekpo aged 10

Vision, I use my eyes to see
All the world around me.
Centuries before; our ancestors past,
That beautiful world.
Those luscious green trees
And calm rivers flowing,
All the amazing animals
And insects were growing
The mesmerising dodo
All hunted and gone.
Extinct, where did it all go wrong ?
Now this world I see
All around me.
Pollution, an ever growing problem
Plastic wrappers, plastic bags,
Killing innocent sea life.
Many water species might go extinct
Because of this harmful mess.
We as humans some don’t care,
Others ? They try to help.
The Black Lives Matter campaign
Tries to work things out,
It sparks a world changing effect
On people all ages; all races.
Global warming, another complication
Factory and workhouse fumes
Melts icebergs and ice caps
In Antarctica causing penguins to deteriorate
Evil, illegal loggers cutting down trees in forests.
Tigers, cheetahs, pandas all in danger.
Covid 19 spreading everywhere.
Thousands dying everyday.
People not social distancing outside.
Some people wear masks all the time
And others just don’t consider
We humans want to go on holiday
But the covid boundaries say no.
Lockdown for 6 months
Young children asked why.
This is the world I see,
All around me…
And it needs to change.

The Intuition

1
by Giselle Kalu aged 13

Make your vision clear, your fears become irrelevant.
Manifest anything, it’s your own development.
Vision without execution, is hallucination.
We’re not limited by our abilities, it’s the vision that brings frustration.
Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams, instead of the expectations and opinions of your team.
Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to the rest.
Have a vision, it doesn’t make you any less. If you can see the invisible you can achieve the impossible.
Be discreet, don’t be predictable.
Your leadership is what creates an unlimited capacity, to create a vision that translates into reality…

Not Quite 2020 Vision

Elton John’s bejewelled mirrors,
Michael Cane and his black, chunky frames,
Harry Potter. His wired specks,
John Lennon’s tinted lenses,
Where’s Wally wears them so why shouldn’t you?
Glasses are beautiful so join the crew.

Autumn

4
by Elissa Hancock-Barber aged 11

When leaves start to fall off the trees
And the breeze blows them away,
That’s when you know its autumn and its here to stay.
When it gets chilly and starts to rain,
The little autumn showers are here again,
When it’s autumn, you know it is because
The conkers fall off the trees and the rivers freeze.
Autumn, stay for a little longer this year please
