WW2

by Kacper Jura aged 12

As I look in front of me:
Men from all over
Were falling over.

As I look in front of me:
Blood was dyeing the grass ,
And men kept dying because of the gas .

As I look in front of me:
Grenades and bullets demolished
the hopes and dreams of many,
And many people dead, just like private Benny

As I look in front of me:
Fierce Nazis are running towards men with bayonets ,
Oh, here are the Soviets .

War is a serious matter that nobody should forget,
as so many tears and sweat was injected
into Europe and the world.
We will never forget .

Birdseye View

by Leon Price aged 11

Breeze against your neck
In the forest
Rabbits run by
Down by the beach
Seeing past the horizon
Eyeing fish that look yummy
Your eye is seeing
Everything and more

Blossom Trees

How the World Healed

0
by Amy Wingle aged 11

Now peace and quiet is all I hear
No more machines roaring near
My home might have disappeared
But no more species are being speared.

With the terrifying humans I have encountered
There are finally friendly ones I have counted
Like the ones taking action in their nation
And protesting about deforestation

Pollution began to leave our ocean
And leaving the shelves was palm oil lotion
Then the trees began growing back again
And rainforests filled themselves with rain

The young beings were the only generation
That could defeat pollution and deforestation
Together everybody worked as a team
To rebuild their Earth, their only dream.

Best Friends

0
by Spring aged 9 1/2

Best friends always and forever!
We’ll stay here until the Earth is over!
We love having fun!
Even eat lunch together!
When you are down…
They come to cheer you up
So you can all have a hug!
Even with this time…
It’ll be fine and be gone, in the meantime
Universes are amazing
you and your besties can maybe…
Build a Big universe!
Besties belong together always and forever
You maybe have boy besties or girl besties!
That’s amazing!
Just remember the 25th of December!
Because you can give your presents and exchange
the presents your friends got for you!

The Bunting

0
by Jennifer Hughes aged 10

The bunting, frozen damp dark
Shivered in fear,
Like a frozen star.
Looking at the kids staring, scared
More playing instead.
He stares down and whispers
“Let me go.“
The wind howling through the gates,
Making the bunting fall and shake
“Help me,” he says.
While the trees laugh and break!
The sky goes dark,
The bunting sad and alone
“What should I do”? he says.
The rain comes, shakes, breaks
The bunting falls…

The Lonely Tree

1
by Evie Robinson aged 10

Lonely, unwanted,
I sit there depressed.
Night and day children climb on me
Please,please just leave me alone.
At night, cold, drenched, miserable
I shout and scream but no one seems to hear me
My frozen leaves crumble like a biscuit
As years go by my leaves and branches grow,
I get older but my sadness never leaves me.
Days and days go on and muddy and clean shoes run over me,
Sobbing at night the shed laughs at me,
He says you will never be as great as me.
Will you help me?

A Tiny World

0
by Georgina Staniforth aged 10

Glossy, green moss like a carpet,
Bugs creeping and crawling
The miniature ants hiding under the umbrella-like clover,
Some string-like grass waves at a shiny ladybird,
Rain comes…
The sky goes as black as night,
The busy city, silent again.

Seeing Through Nostalgia

0
by Ruby Dean aged 16

Our nostalgia is lost in history,
Now I find it a little harder
To see through the rose-coloured glasses.
When frosted mornings were magic
And your smile was my lighthouse
Now I find it a little harder
To see today
When all I think of
Is our magic of before.
Forgotten perfections haunt each morning
And every night tells a hundred hazy dreams
Now I find it a little harder
But I know it might get a little better,
When I see a distant tomorrow.
Maybe we’ll see it together
