As the sunflower stood tall
everyone around started in amazement,
the sunflower was tall and stood in pride,
it was beautiful,
the sunflower was like the sun
in broad day light its beauty covered the world
The leaves soon started to fall off the sunflower
as the autumn season came,
but the sunflower still stood tall.

Scarborough Beach
The glistening sand beneath our toes
As the water always flows
Donkey rides all day long
Happy children singing songs
Scarborough beach is so much fun
Rolling around in the sun
Life At Sea.
As the ocean swiftly waves,
Birds fly above,
The water glistens in the caves,
Calmness above.
Colourful fish swim underwater,
All shapes and sizes,
They travel to their joint,
As they meet others at the next point.
The sea creatures travel throughout,
Pieces of weed dancing at the sea floor,
Coral shines vibrantly in the sand,
Shells sit at the bottom of golden land.
All at their best,
Ready for an adventure,
Time comes fast,
They all set of at last.
From What Light Is The Cold Warm?
Stray hairs escaped from Chrissie’s tight bun, flowing wildly as the incongruous wind blew at her face, yet her face still permanently glazed in sweat from another exhausting day at work. Chrissy picked up the pace, determined to be enclosed in the comfort of her flat. She took a deep breath of cold spring air, it prickled her cheeks and made her eyes well. Through half a distorted vision, she caught a glimpse of a vibrant pink bird fly by the gloomy grey clouds.
As her eyes focused she realized that it wasn’t a bird, after all, it was a vibrant cherry blossom fluttering around in the merciless wind, she raised her head a little and saw that it had freshly fallen from a large tree with long hands stretching high into the sky, which had begun to clear up. It was a perfect heart, emitting a soft pink glow. It continued dancing high in the sky, never faltering to change altitude. It was rather hypnotizing, Chrissie strained her neck to watch it prance around the air, suddenly realizing she had come to a halt.
She turned her back to the silky blossom and saw acres and acres of lush trees standing like soldiers’ in formation down the long road she’d hiked. Each soldier clothed in beautiful blossoms bursting out of every inch of his long limbs, droplets of water trickling down steadily from petals poking out.
Chrissie turned slowly, taking in this magnificent sight, inhaling the cold air. The comforting cold was so refreshing, she took another deep breath and saw that rays of golden sunshine were starting to pour through the clouds looming above.
Leaking through branches painted with pink.
Her eyes searched frantically for the cherry blossom which was previously dancing in the sky. It didn’t take long for her to find it, it was in hindsight. Floating just a few feet away, in line with her hazel brown eyes. She watched it elegantly sink to the ground.
Chrissy strode forward and glanced down at the cherry blossom, resting so tranquil on the cold damp ground. She took another step, her buckled boots crushing the perfect pink heart on her way.
The sunshine seeped into the floor, and the sun retreated to the safety of the eerie clouds.
The Magic Wind
The moon glistened in the star light,
the inky black night sky
warped around the moon and stars lightly.
The wind howled and sighed
its claws wrapping around me.
Sweat dropping from my forehead as my knees bashed together.
I suddenly felt free
and ran for my life in the desolate forest.
I ran out of breath quickly
imagining what was coming for me.
The wind covered me as if it was a blanket of mysteriousness.
I shuddered to think,
my brain was out of ideas
of how to get out of this catastrophe.
Was this ever going to end?
The magic wind spoke as if it was alive talking to me.
I blinked and blinked, thinking I was asleep but I wasn’t.
Then the moon turned red
as red as blood
or as red as a ruby.
Something moved
or someone?
Then someone laughed,
a wicked and cold-hearted laugh.
I kept running then..it got me..
they got me…
the wind couldn’t help me now…
No one could…
The Breeze in the Trees
The trees in the breeze.
The sun is rising up in the lovely autumn sky.
People are driving in their cars.
Some are having a picnic and relaxing.
Some are playing football in the park and some
are playing on the swings, the slide and the monkey bars.
They jump off like a monkey.
Some children are playing leapfrog
in the yellow, red, purple black and orange autumn leaves.
Books
Reading is escaping, escaping from your fears
From worries or problems or any sorts of drears
You draw the picture, you set the stage
You have the ability to break free from your cage
Every chapter a journey, every page a delight
Every word is savoured, every word that they write
All books own their own knowledge, every one of them do
So remember that when you open up a new place to go to
