The Boy That Knew All

0
by Oliver Winiecki aged 11

One morning I woke up feeling not right,
It wasn’t any sickness or joints that were tight,
I felt powerful,
It was wonderful,
I could see into the future.
I started to act like a creature,
Causing havoc everywhere I went,
I started to feel sorry for whoever felt discontent.
Am I a monster,
Or am I a daydreamer?

Four Seasons

by Russell aged 11

Flowers blooming, water dripping of the trees
you can hear rustling leaves, the wind is choppy
some stumps are hollowing the amazing spring.

Green grass, summer’s blooms,
growing trees and crunching leaves.
The bees are buzzing the birds are munching,
the perfect summer’s day.

Leaves turning red, scold autumn ahead,
the trees are shedding,
put on you’re wellies and don’t don’t forget a coat,
the crispy leaves gently float to the ground,
a cosy autumn awaits.

Snow falling, Santa’s calling,
a freezing winter’s near,
build a snowman make snow angels
enjoy it now winter’s here,
at night you look out of the window
and what’s that? A perfect snowflake,
it’s going to be a white Christmas.

Pack up ready, the new years here.

Animals

Amber the Anteater was getting bored,
Bean the Bear wanted to win an award.
Kelly the Kangaroo played with her niece,
Camille the Cobra loved watching geese.
Doc the Dolphin’s hobby was crochet,
Polly the Parrot’s hobby was macramé.
All of these animals play Marco Polo,
And all of them like singing a solo!

Colours

0
by Benjamin Everett aged 13

I look and see extraordinary things. Colours.
The colour of winter, Ice and snow.
White.
White brings friendship peace and hope.
But where there is white there is black.
A void sucking hope, friendship and joy and changing them,
making depression, loneliness and hopelessness.

There is beauty in all things, including fire.
Red, orange, yellow.
The colours of blood, sunset, joy.
Red with its love and anger but also blood with its pain.
Orange, the colour of autumn and sunsets.
Yellow, that brings summer, joy, happiness.
The colour of fun and relaxation.

Life. Humans, animals and plants alike.
The colour of spring, green with its plants and lush settings.
But also blue, an overlooked colour of life.
Sky and sea.
The oceans were the first destination of the rollercoaster of life,
but then again, drowning.

If you sit back and relax,
you’ll see the colours of our world.

Nature

The leaves rustled,
The wind whistled,
The mud squelched,
It was the sound of beauty.
The pigs oinked,
The cow mooed,
The chicken clucked,
It was the sound of animal chit-chat.
I could see trees,
I could see leaves,
I could see flocks of birds,
I could see herds of sheep,
It was nature.

Pluto’s Grace

0
by Caden Jones aged 12

I feel like Pluto out in space,
Downgraded and neglected because of my race.
It’s just like society down on Earth,
People are irrelevant because of their birth.
We hear the environment weep and cry,
But the best we’ve done is let it die.
Icebergs melting creatures’ homes destroyed,
Whilst the government leaders think our cries are absurd.
Mother nature watches in dismay,
As the people of Earth throw the environment away.
Me on Pluto, I’m happy and safe,
But the people of Earth are looking for a second place.
But I will not let this planet be corrupted,
So my planet will not be abducted.

Ukulele

If you are me,
you know how it feels and how it gets you.
Nothing can take it away.
It will always stay with you.
If it is what you pop your passion into
you can achieve anything.

Visions Upon You

0
by Avneet Kaur Chowdhry aged 11

Artists are people with imaginations
It is how they get the ability to form creations.
What a talent they are
Wow, they are stars
All sorts of stuff
Just make you wanna go puff
We can sure see the creativity
I wonder how they get their motivity?
Well the visions we see
Are amazing don’t you agree
You can create what you see
But for now the visions upon these
Will stay here and be
What ever you can see.

Global Warming

by Matthew Pegg aged 11

Trees on fire
The earth is dire
And it’s all because of us
Animals dying
Pollution flying
And it’s all because of us
But we are not doomed yet
Because we can stop this threat
If we stop this now I bet
Just be globally friendly
And if we all start now
We might be able to all bow
Because we saved the world

Albert (Etymology)

by Albie Howe aged 13

I think of myself as a strong noble hill
Willing to stand for what I believe in
But on the inside I’m thoughtful and caring
Like the hill I am is hollow
I imagine myself standing alone
with different views and opinions, a lone wolf

Some say I’m clever
And I am but in my own unique way
I get different answers because I see different questions
I don’t understand things that others find easy
But what they find hard I find easy

Everyone thinks I’m energetic and bright
But sometimes I’m not
I’m always doing things before I think
I’m different compared to other people
I like being different
