I See

I see
I see the sea and the creatures within it,
I see the sky and the birds flying through it,
I see the mountains and the snow laying as if a blanket,
I see India and the elephants gracing it
I see Africa and the lions prowling through it,
I see the world and the admirable wildlife,
I see it slowly diminishing,
It needs saving and only we can help it.

I see what they see
and the people see clouds
with the sun shining like a light in the sky
of nothingness
the world full of people
doing what they were meant to do.
Everywhere cars and human’s tiny babies
trying to walk
the fun of the first word being said.

Covid 19

by Poppy Brett aged 7

In 2020 things got weird
I’ve never seen my daddy with such a long beard
A horrible bug called covid nineteen
Made the streets empty and our hands really clean
It made lots of people go to the hospital
It got so bad we couldn’t go to school
Mummy was our teacher and classes were on Zoom
We went for long walks and watched all the plants bloom
Every Thursday we did a clap
For all the carers who who took all the rap
We could not cuddle our grandparents
It became really hard
Instead we would draw pictures on colourful
Card
We needed to stay 2 metres apart
It was really sad, it broke my heart
We spent the whole of May in the paddling pool
I planted lots of sunflowers that grew really tall
The Prime Minister spoke every night
He reassured us we will all be alright
No one quite knows how long this will last
Before we all know it covid 19 will be in the past

A Vision After the Pandemic

1
by Isaac Ding aged 10

They asked me for a vision
Which was a mission
To take off my mask
And do the task

The task is to enjoy life
Without having strife
To keep peace
Like you keep an eye piece

To socialise
Not sanitize
And to be nice
Just like Christ

And that was my vision
And my mission
After the pandemic
That’s all true

Just me and you

I don’t know!

I don’t know! How the world looks like!

But I can feel how it is!

What do you think I should write next?

I don’t know, I don’t know!

Winter is white like the cumulus clouds!
Spring is green like crunchy granny apples!
Summer is bright like the golden sun!
Autumn is orange like the ripe orange!

This is what I vision of the world!

As I Wander Through the Willows

0
by Nicholas Warrington aged 14

As I wander through the willows I am in-awe of their majesty.
After all, for generations they’ve been guarding all of humanity.
They’ve seen children’s children’s children playing among the leaves
and horses feeding from the nearby streams.
People may have attacked them for centuries,
but the weeping willows will always succeed.
As their rings get bigger and their arms get longer,
I can’t even begin to imagine what they must have seen.

The Unicorn

You fly so high in the beautiful sky
You bring friendship to those around you
Love and happiness surrounds you
You fly so high and make rainbows in the sky
Fly, unicorn fly

Seasons Change

Seasons Change and the cold is her once more
A white blanket covers the once green grass
I am shivering, frozen to the core
Winter lingers but I want it to pass

Seasons change and spring is finally here
New life arrives and flowers start to bloom
Butterflies fly high in the sky so clear
The scent lingers and it smells like perfume

Seasons change and the warm air surrounds me
The sun beats down and smiles are on faces
Ice cream, sandy beaches and the blue sea
I get excited to see new places

Seasons change and autumn is her once more
The leaves turn red and I start to feel blue
The sun has gone and I miss the sea shore
I wish it was summer, what about you?

Weather

0
by Tegan Cartwright aged 11

Weather is a mysterious thing isn’t it?

The weather forecast says it going to be rainy,
but what comes out of the sky is the sun.
But when it says its going to be sunny,
it is rainy, which is boring and not fun.

In the morning it can be bright and sunny
and possibly warm,
or it can be grey, cold and dull.
You just don’t know.

Hope

by Hamzah Rather aged 8

I’m cold, I’m cold, I’m cold,
I’m not much more than sand in a hold.
I got the sight of the frostbite.
I’m chillin to fear, I’m chillin to death.
I’m scared, I might not see you.
All the days that past.
All the nights that went.
Please somebody come for me,
Whoever does has a pure heart just like the one I saw.
I don’t like fear so that’s why I gonna stand strong.
I’m not gonna let the world go behind me.
I have to keep it in my sight,
Otherwise, I’ll have a treacherous night
I’ll surely feel the pain,
Like those days I went insane.
I wanna go to the bright side
But I got shunned to the dark side.
My only hope is to get up on my feet,
And sing to the one who came for me.
I will and I will never be more happy,
To see the greatest the only hope.
All I have to do is wait for the moment I get back to being who I am.
JUST give me a few years and I’ll be back on my feet.
JUST like the one I hoped for,
JUST like the one I begged for.
But all I know is they will never come,
Even if I plead for them.
I don’t know what to say who I am
I’m starting to lose confidence
Like somebody was taking over my heart.
Hope has come back, we re-join as we met.
And then I woke up, everything is in harmony AGAIN.
