What’s that Smell?

1
by Leyla N and Leila BN aged 10

What’s that smell?
Is it coming from Belle?
Her armpit stench
Is like an old lady’s bench.
Is it Pete with his feet?
They smell like rotten meat.
Is it Lottie with her bottie?
Being on the potty.
Is it Sarah with her umbrella?
Is it beth with her breath?
Oh, my gosh,
It’s none of them…
IT’S ME, MAN!!!

Frank the Frog

by Anusha aged 7

Frank the frog
Lived in a bog
For breakfast he had flies
After which he felt nice
For lunch he had a big butterfly
To catch it, he didn’t much try
His supper was a big spider
He had to open his mouth wider!
Sometimes when he was sad
He slept on the lily pad
Sometimes when he was happy
He went all flappy!
He always went to bed
With his favourite ted

Christmas

by Starr McCurthy aged 9

Putting up the decorations,
hanging stockings by the fire,
every boy and girl is hoping
they will get their heart’s desire.

Seepless nights of nervous waiting
listening to every sound,
squeals of joy, they know they’re good
by the piles of presents on the ground.

Sharing time and gifts with family,
taking in a panto show
because God as a baby
came to Earth so long ago.

Stuart

0
by Jilly Jargon aged five

I wanted to write a poem
That rhymed all the way through
But I wanted it to rhyme with Stuart
So there’s nothing I can do
Because nothing rhymes with Stuart
Except Stewart, but that’s cheating
So I’ll just give up now
And go back to overeating
