I’m Glad I’ve Lost My Dog

I’m glad I’ve lost my dog,
She ran away into the fog,
She’s probably hiding behind a log,
I wrote about this on my blog,
I’m not going out for my morning jog,
In case I’m asked about my dog,
Maybe I’ll go on my morning jog,
If anyone asks about my dog,
I’ll run and hide deep in the bog.

Remember Your Things for School!

by Maheen Manzoor aged 11

I lost my pen in school,
my teacher said that was not cool.
She made me sit in my class,
after lunchtime had passed,
and that’s how I missed the bus to the pool!

I was late at the pool after the bus
had dropped me off in a rush
for I didn’t mind at all,
when I had to sit in the hall,
because I forgot my trunks!

You see, I sometimes have very bad days,
which always make me want to say,
that ‘sometimes I act just like a fool,’
which is totally not cool,

…so I should never forget my things for school!

My Best Friend I Lost

by Maheen Manzoor aged 11

I had a best friend called Lillie,
who was nice and very very pretty.
She had hair made of grass,
and quite a very small mass,
with the skin of bright orange and yellow.

She came from our garden outside,
but came out dirty and dusty beside.
However, I named her in grace,
because she had such a pretty face,
which many of her friend would not be able to replace.

The day after Lillie came out of the dust,
mum had made a big fuss,
of putting Lillie in the stew,
where their vegetables went too,
but I said ‘no’, and went off.

Mum sneaked into my bedroom at night,
were she took Lillie from my bed all right,
and put the vegetables in the stew,
and in went my poor Lillie too…

…which is how i lost my best friend at night!

my uncle is 500 but he ran away, long ago.
my daddy is 200 but he never came from work.
my mommy is 25 but she said in quiet a fright…
why did I give birth to a fearsome black knight!

I Lost My Cat

I lost my cat one day
I thought she had gone out to play.
But she never came back for dinner that day.
I searched in the shed and under my bed, but my Poppy had gone.
I went to sleep hoping she would be okay in the wind and rain.
I woke in the morning to hear Poppy snoring!
She was in the cupboard sleeping instead!

I once had a dog called Larry,
who said that he would go off and marry
a pink dog with a bow
who looked like a scarecrow,
which is how I lost dear Larry!

My
cat’s
name
is Patty,
he is rather
large and fatty, and
eats day by day after
day. I like him a lot
because he eats
from his pot,
but never
from
the
baby’s
cot which
is why I like
him a lot!

Lost and Found

by Chelsie Leigh aged Nearly 11

Last week…
I lost my dog
I lost my frog
I lost my cat

I lost my hat
I lost my brother
And mother too
but whatever the weather

They were all found in the zoo
They smelled of poo
But the question is
Do you?

You Will Remember Me

I think back to when I was a baby,
created by specks of dust,
Tiny particles making me,
I was the very first one.

I created the stars, the universe
A million angels in the dark,
The planets glistening like a spark,
Beautiful crystals in the night.

I remember creating the Earth,
A sphere of tiny islands, as I held the Earth in my hands,
The countries encrusted with oceans,
Like sapphire bordering a ring

I created the animals
The tigers, the toucans, the bats,
The elephants, lions and monkeys,
I created in my colossal life.

And then I created the people,
To liven things up a bit.
You may see me in your heart or mind,
But remember me for I will be there ever in your dreams

Flashback

Beaten, bombed, bruised
merciless, hurt, choked

Why no peace?
Why war?
Embedded in my head is the gore

Envy, dying, dead
shooting, screams, the tears I shed

Why no peace?
Why war?
Captivated in my head the gore

Fear, friend, blood
gas, dizzy, he dies in the mud

Why no peace, why war?
Why the battle?
Trapped in my head is the war!

He sacrificed his life for his country
He was involved in the weather of weapons
Every year poppies, I give them to you
but most of all I love and remember you.
