Halloween

Yellow eyes glare in the thick black night
as a green fog rises we hold hands tight.
Shadows flickering to and fro,
before our eyes as we tremble so

Touches of gossamer tickle my face.
I hear whispering voices that echoes chase.
Crouching down to our smallest size,
we watch as dancing figures fill the skies

Cackling, screaming, calls surround
as we shake, hold breath, and make no sound.
Witches speed across the clouds
making black silhouettes stand out proud.

Then, as the sky shows a tint of sun
and the new days dawn has just begun,
the figures are gone as if never seen,
We survived another Halloween!

Happy Halloween

Lock your doors…
turn off the light,

Ghosts and vampires
will spook you with fright!

Jump in bed
and pull the covers up tight,

Close your eyes
Until the morning is light.

A head halver,
A body thrasher,
A blood letter,
A flesh cutter,
A nightmare bringer,
A thirsty fighter,
A body breaker,
A lip splitter,
A body hacker,
An arm chopper,
A death bringer.

Helloweeny

Halloween-y little bug.
You look like a bug but you are growing,
BIG BIG BIG! Big…

You look like a
bat, spider, witch, wizard, werewolf, ghost, zombie, vampire.
A Hologram… No an outfit…
I think I’ll wear you for the Halloween Dance,

But when I wore you
I turned into a hideous monster,
a rainbow coloured scar-faced ugly creature…
A Witzarwolfghozombvamp..
My parents threw me out and I walked to the Dance
and when I went in a giant pumpkin stamped on me..

I am writing from my deathbed, my horrid deathbed and I am flat in my suit,
well a princess, colourful suit, prince, fairy…
NOW A GOBLIN…

Zombies

In the daytime calm and light, lay the zombies ready to fight
When it turns dark, no longer they lurk under the gravelly earth
Up they push from under tree and bush and up from drainpipes and graves
Sneak into his or her beds to zombify, a deep, deep trance is what they try
Pull you into the underworld, make you scream out in vain
Suddenly it’s daytime… until zombies and humans meet again.

Heartbeat

Thump. Thump. I can still hear my heart.

Thump. Thump. Footsteps stop and start.

Thump. Thump. Some kind of clapping sound.

Thump. Thump. The noises; all around.

Thump. Thump. The whispers in my ears.

Thump. Thump. I wonder if I can still cry tears.

Thump. Thump. It happens, once again.

Thump. Thump. Rattling cold metal chains.

Thump. Thump. Now it feels numb, the pain.

Thump. Thump. My vision’s torn apart.

Thump.

I can’t hear my heart.

Red Eyes

Two red eyes staring bright,
Two red eyes give me quite a fright,
Two red eyes looking at me,
Two red eyes from behind that tree,

Four red eyes now to my left and right,
Four red eyes burning bright,
Four red eyes getting near,
Six red eyes…

“GET ME OUT OF HERE!”

Scary Bat

There was a scary bat
that sat upon a mat
and killed a scary rat
and bit my cat.
I hope he doesn’t come back.

Remember Dangerous!

Remember, the spiders, lurking under your bed,
Remember, the snakes, slithering in the forests,
Remember, the tigers and lions, pouncing on innocent creatures,
Remember, the bears, crunching with their deadly teeth
Remember, all of those dangerous things…
REMEMBER
DON’T TOUCH THEM!
