Christmas is snowing,
Christmas is coming,
Christmas is a present,
Christmas is fun,
Did you get a tree?
What did you put on it?
Decorations?
A star?
Or even a stocking!
So listen as you sleep
Because father Christmas will come!

Christmas

Crackling ice.
Holly spiking on your fingers.
Roast turkey warming in your belly.
Icicles hanging beside your window.
Smiling snowmen in winter.
Toasty toes by the fire.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Angels being graceful.
Santa’s coming to town on his sleigh.

Henry woke with a smile on his face
And he had a thrill inside which was growing far and wide
He heard the the sound of bells so he ran down the staircase
Which twisted and winded
And there he saw piles of…
Pre… pre… presents.

Eerie Darkness

I peer through the eerie darkness,
“You’re being silly!” says my mistress.

The wolf looks at the moon shining brightly,
wondering if he can bite me, squeeze me tightly.

Creak of the door and the rumble of the floorboards,
whisper of the dark lords

The Grim Reaper in my face,
my fear it can trace.

But most of all the thought of you getting hurt
makes me tremble in terror, it turns me into dirt.

A Spirited Halloween

T’was the night of Halloween,
‘All Hollows Eve.’
You could hear the knocks on the door,
kids unrelenting, howling for lollies.
Continuously travelling from house to house,
thumping on door to door like African Wild Dogs,
staying in their packs,
pushing their collection buckets forward,
daringly asking for more.

The streets are crowded with Halloween lovers,
kids, parents, toddlers and teenagers,
all dressed as scary skeletons, volatile vampires,
zany zombies, pitiful princesses, gormless goblins
and just….
the plain normal kid with the cricket bat threatening others for treats.

The fences are hypnotizing with an array of Jack-O-Lanterns burning brightly,
A symbol of street participation.
Yards are adorned with spider webs, skeletons, broomsticks and blood curdling screams.
My house oozes the spirit of ‘All Hallows Eve’,
with a grave, blood severed hands, a rest in peace sign
and a witch in a noose.

Doors are closing
Lights are dying out.
The streets are littered,
with lolly wrappers, sugar vomit and
greenish complexions.
Neurotic parents collect their kids,
only worried about white posh leather seats.

The night will play over and over in the hearts of many.
Great stories to tell to one another.

Trick or Treat

Ding dong, the door bell goes,
Who’s at the door?
No one knows.
Who can that be at this time of night?
Aghhhhh! You gave me a fright.
A little witch and a goblin too,
Oh look! It’s Scooby Doo.
It’s Halloween night,
Trick or Treat,
You never know who you will meet.

My Mum’s a Witch

My mum’s a witch, I know she is
It might come as a suprise
But she has a hat
A big magic broom that sweeps our floors!
And a cat named moggy
She cooks in a cauldron
And turns frogs into princes
