The Christmas Truce!

by Chelsea & Abbie aged 11 & 10

in 1914 there was an historical event,
On 25th of December,
This was just the start of massive argument,
Which was what we call a Christmas truce,
It happened 100 years ago,
But many of us would think this was a normal Christmas
but it wasn’t…

My Christmas Love

1
by Emily and Millie aged 10/10

On Christmas Eve,
I was walking home from the shops,
And I saw my true love,
I dropped my bags of food,
Staring at this boy,
I tried my best to look nice,
But guess what? He just turned away!
I bet he never saw a girl so sweet!
Forgetting that I had dropped my shopping I ran away,
Mum came in saying, ” It’s Christmas Eve!.. and where is your shopping?”
I want straight up to my room for my phone,
Yes I know Mum that it’s Christmas Eve,
Yes I know,
But I wasn’t in the mood for Christmas..

Merry Christmas

Christmas is here,
Here it is Christmas,
Real Christmas trees and some fake,
Is it really Christmas?
Snow is falling,
Time to play,
Make new friends,
After Christmas children still play,
See Santa in the sky.

Trees are bright,
Rehearsals for Christmas plays,
Ending of school,
Ending of school.

The Christmas Star’s Tale

by Joseph Wisher aged 10

Runner Up

Look up there, in the sky,
That beacon of light, way up high.

The Christmas Star, a symbol of love,
Proof of Jesus, who sits up above.

It led the Wise-Men to where he lay,
To the birth of Christmas day.

It glows up there all night long,
While the angels sing their heavenly song.

With the world; share your light,
Is it not a beautiful sight?

Some believe it to be a regular star,
The epic light that stays afar.

I know that God is real,
He sent that star to reveal

The location of Jesus in a manger,
To all, from known to stranger.

It was used to guide Kings and Shepherds to the one and only,
While it’s up there you’ll never be lonely.

If you are longing for a friend, look up there in the sky,
To that beacon of light, way up high.

Christmas Love

It was Christmas Eve,
I went to bed excited,
The next morning,
I went downstairs,
To see presents everywhere,
I opened the biggest one first,
I love Christmas.

Christmas Joy

by Joshua Reid aged 9

It’s Christmas time, everybody is fine,
merrily dancing away.
Santa may come to your house today, to give you a present HOORAY!
Christmas turkeys here and there, they could possibly be anywhere!
Christmas is a time for joy, and on the wreaths there is holly!

Christmas Time

by Evie and Abbie B aged 10

Christmas is the best time of year,
Christmas brings a lot of joy and cheer,
Santa comes to town delivering presents,
Sitting by the fire,
Children listening to the choir,
The sound of friendship and family joining together
Is like a massive Christmas Pudding!!!
Carrots and Mince Pies, you won’t believe your eyes!
Presents bring the joy,
After opening the toy,
The little dinky dolls and figures are there for everybody!!

The Mythical Snowflake

Snowflakes are cold!
Not warm!
Snowflakes are granules that float!
What do you think about snowflakes?
Frankenstein’s blood is cold, but as cold as a snowflake?
Love the snowflakes through the winter rage!
At that time of Christmas mistletoe is alive.
Keys are used by Santa Clause to get inside.
Eat the turkey eat, eat the turkey

Sleep Before Christmas

Before Christmas something magical is happening
Stocking are being stocked.
Baubles are perfectly hung.
Santa is putting presents under the tree
