I Really, Really Hate My Mother

0
by Megan Hall aged 10

She makes me do all my chores
Then do them all again
She says I should be better at sports
But she doesn’t let me train

Even if I clean the house
From the bottom to the top
She won’t halt me to have a rest
She’ll merely say, “Don’t stop.”

I have lots and lots of clubs
Doing things that I don’t like
It’s all because of her, you see
She makes me practise them all night

I never get my free time
She’ll make me do another chore
If she makes me do just one more job
I think I’ll start a war

No really, I’m not joking
I’ll start a puppy war
You see, my name is Robby
I’m a baby Golden Labrador

For Her

by Abigail Anne Asuncion Paulino aged 14

For my best friend,
Who’s like a sister,
But is my mother,
For all the troubles she faced,
The possible,
And the impossible,
For the thing’s she taught,
Though life is tough,
She carried on,
For the great memories,
Spent as a family,
May they be cherished,
For all the work she’s handled,
May she be awarded,
And feel at ease,
For this day,
Just wanted to say,
“I love you and thank you”.

Mum’s Do Forget!

0
by Emily Moore aged 9

Why did you do that?
Mum asks me, I answer:
Because you told me!
Why did she ask if she told me?
Well! Sometimes Mums forget things,
as you already might know!
They are getting old!
We can’t rely on them if they forget!
What can we do?
I don’t know?
Just get out if here!
Mums get to forget less we go to school without a book bag!
We go to a party without a present!
We do lots of other things but for some reason they blame it on us!
Why didn’t you bring your book bag to school?
We have to answer: Because my Mum forgot, they say we’re to old for that!
Mums go bonkers!!
They forget everything!
Soon enough you won’t have a dinner!
But Mums do help with other things!
And we have to love them!
All them Mums out there you agree?

I’m Glad My Daddy is a Nice Daddy

by Megan Hall aged 10

My Daddy is funny
My Daddy is wise
My Daddy stops bad things
He doesn’t tell lies

He gives me a hug when I get home
He gives me money for Guides
He takes me out to play golf
Although, I have to watch him shooting sometimes

When my Daddy is angry
He soon calms down
He acts like my Daddy again
I love it when he’s around

But soon he goes to a conference
Very far away
Then I’m going skiing in Italy with my school
I won’t see him for six days!

I will really, really miss him
But I’ll know that he’ll come back
So even though I love him lots
I won’t feel too black

A Message to Mum

0
by Leanna Miller aged 11

As I look closely at my mum, what do I see?
A person who, with all my heart I look up to and one day hope to be,
My mum is a true inspiration to me.

Thank you mum,
For all you have done,
For every time you held my hand,
And every time from hurt you set me free.

You always say the right thing,
After, to my problems, deeply listening,
A minor fight we have sometimes,
But that don’t change a thing.

I love you so,
with every bone in my body,
I love you so,
Listen well and listen deep
because lovely mum this I will not repeat.

Thinking About My Family

by SJ Boots aged 6

I love my family because they are sweet to me
I love my family because they are nice to me
I love them very much, more than an Alligator!
I give them presents and I feel excited
They lift me up and give me kisses and hugs
I love my family so much!

Thinking About My Mummy

by SJ Boots aged 6

I love mummy because she is nice to me
I love mummy because she is thoughtful to me
I love her and she loves me
When I leave the house she is sad!
When I come back she gives me hugs and kisses
I love her more than a silly monkey!

Guess Who I Am

by Tanvi Nagar aged 10

Thoughtful and wise,
Who can be so nice?
Oh! Don’t think twice.
It’s a person you like,
Who is there to fill colours in your life?
Loving and caring,
He comes in late from the office every evening,
Or I should say night;
I am sure your guess is absolutely right!!!

My Family

0
by Desiree Milosh aged 12

Scream and shout
I don’t know what to do
So I begin to pout
Toys, books, thats all we need
But who cares, it is Christmas Eve
We jump, we throw all the stuff
Then we begin to play with our trucks
That’s my family everyday
Not just on the holiday
Yes, I like
I do not care
Even though they can be a gray hair
We are all different, not the same
Thats why they can be a pain
But as I said I love them so
They will be there as I grow
Yes I do, I love them so!
