Christmas Time Once Again

by Aliyah Hope aged 10

It’s Christmas time once again,
everybody’s having an awesome time,
most people will be decorating the Christmas tree like anyone else,
singing ,dancing and having fun,
while the stockings are waiting calmly for Santa to arrive.
Getting a Christmas Eve box, sat in nice warm PJs ,
waiting for Santa to arrive.
EVERYBODY’S excited
for Christmas is finally here.

A Winter’s Day

It’s winter time once again,
the white snow falling down like a blanket for the trees.
It’s nearly Christmas time now,
We’re all putting up our decorations,
There’s no sunshine anymore for it’s winter time once again,
People opening their gifts, surprised by what they get.
Winter’s a wonderful time of year,
Christmas time is a happy time.

The Wrong Christmas Song

Jingle bells,
My sister smells.
My friends all ran away.
I forgot the presents again.
I think it’s my bad day!

Waiting for Christmas

by Nikita Sharma aged 10

I spend days decorating Christmas trees
Ridding the house of dust and bees
Going out to do some shopping
Running, skipping and hopping
Hoping there’ll be presents for me
And some cards for me to see
I’m waiting for the Christmas dinner
Seeing who’s the competition winner.
Celebrating with the family
So many happy faces to see

What Christmas is For

0
by Alicia Ndebele aged 11

Christmas is a time for laughs and joy,
when you may get your favourite toy.
Christmas is a time for receiving and giving,
it’s also a time to know why you’re living.
Christmas is a time to decorate your house
but be careful not to let them get eaten by a mouse.
Christmas is a time to cook and bake,
especially your favourite chocolate cake.
Christmas is a time to remember
who came before MAS, and also know he saved all of us.

Xmas

Xmas, I love Xmas
It is very festive.
All the cards, all the presents
and Santa too
are very special
on this special day.
Xmas tree, Xmas cake
and Xmas crackers too
are also special
on this special day.
Xmas time, Xmas pantomime
and Xmas bells!
Also Xmas jumpers and puddings

Christmas Forever

by Megan Hall aged 11

Christmas is a time for wonder
A time for thought, love and joy
It gives us hope for another year
We cling on to happiness with the thought of presents

Apologies are extinct at Christmas
Sins are forgotten at Christmas
No good person is completely sad at Christmas
Life is replenished at Christmas

Orphans do not get a good Christmas
The poor do not ever really get the chance to believe
Those who are homeless for Christmas do not get the love they need
Others are lucky at Christmas

Belief is all that is needed for a good Christmas

A Blue Christmas

No presents under the tree, not one
Not a card, nothing
Not a “Merry Christmas” for me
I am a refugee

A crisp voice wakes me up at dawn
Does that voice even know it’s Christmas?
There is nothing that says Merry Christmas to my only one
I am an orphan

My Christmas will be blue this year

Our Day of Joy

Snowflakes are falling,
Presents are calling,
I hate Christmas Eve!

Just one more day to wait,
I hope Santa isn’t late,
How will I sleep tonight?

My cousin’s birthday today,
Double presents? No way!
We just can’t wait for tomorrow

Christmas Day is finally here,
The best day of the whole year!
Dive down under the tree and grab the presents!

Christ’s birthday, our joyous day
Our sins forgotten and our goodwill replenished
Let us be jolly and merry for another year

Christmas

Santa comes on Christmas Eve
When all the children are fast asleep
to bring them presents the children will like
to eat mince pies and drink a glass of wine

Christmas day is finally here
to see the children with Christmas cheer
When the children open their presents
they tell their parents they got what they wanted
Santa comes to children who are well behaved
