Roses are red
Christmas is blue
I need you
If you’re hungry
You should eat some stew
Presents are pleasant
Grow tall so you will not fall
Christmas is rad
Sad and glad

As I watch the glistening tree
the fairy sings to me
as I listen, my heart beats fast,
the tree still glistens
no matter what i do
as I hear the fairy sing
my mind goes far away
deep into a land full of christmas
everyone singing not at all aware of me
all the children fast asleep
in there beds waiting
for Santa to fill their stockings up
with a present for each,
then I am fast asleep

Winning Poem

Winter, winter’s in the air,
Coming here and everywhere
Coats as furry as a bear,
Are used to keep us just as snug
As a bug tucked in a rug.

Listen, listen can you hear?
People singing with Christmas cheer
Carol singers are singing loud and proud
For all to hear,

And in all homes,
You can see
All those Christmas decorations on the tree
Oh, the thrill of Christmas night,
With that star so very bright

I love it on Christmas night,
All those stars lighting up the sky
And I know that presents by the tree…
Will be waiting just for me!

And then when Christmas is over
It’s another chance to be good once again,
For that Saint Nick whom we love,
He comes from the north above
Yes, he is our favourite fellow
Ho, ho, ho, hear him bellow

My Christmas, is
Amazing,
Brilliant,
Gorgeous
And
Perfect for me!

The Spirit of Christmas lies underneath
The hot fireplace, and the smell of fresh wreaths
The green and red colors and many decorations
It’s almost time for our Christmas celebration
The wind seems to blow and lights all glowing
The air is freezing and snow is coming
Its not about Santa and not about presents
Its all about being in Jesus’s presence
Forget about “wants” and focus on “needs”
This is the Spirit that lies underneath

Christmas time is here,
Lots of decorations.
I love the Christmas cheer!
The house alterations.
Wait for Santa,
Snuggle up warm and listen for his canter.
Wake up in the morning,
Full of joy.
Lots of presents wrapped in silk,
One of them is a brand new toy!

Sugar drops
Candy cane
Presents wrapped in bows
Family fun
Snowball fights
And nice warm cocoa
Sledding fun
Not in the sun
and a sleigh ride

I think the dinner is fine
and we do have a jolly, jolly time
we do have a cake
but first we have to bake it
I hate the smell of feet
and I love dancing to the beat
of Christmas

One little star at the top of THE TREE
Two little presents underneath FOR ME
Three silver ropes twisted around THE TREE
Four coloured lights SHINING PRETTILY
Five shining balls FLOWING GLITTERY
Oh, what a sight for us TO SEE
