Christmas Tree

by Harley Jolley aged 16

Take a star
for you and me.
Then some lights
for all to see.
Add the tinsel,
one, two, three.
Now you have decorated
the Christmas Tree.

Christmas Day

0
by Chloe Bilson and Holly Chambers aged 14

It’s snowing in the garden
Santa is on the roof
Rudolph is getting ready
It’s the truth.
It’s merry Christmas all day
Families and cousins and the rest
The TV has all the shows
But presents are the best

Xmas Eve

by Super Elf aged 12

Stars shining in the night
Sending us Christmas light
Angels on top of the tree
Pretty sight we can see.

Family come over for tea
Presents for you and me
It’s fun when we are together
I wish Christmas could last forever.

Christmas Is…

0
by Joel Haywood aged 13

Christmas is
goodwill towards men
Jesus was born in a den
He layed in a manger
But he was in danger

Jesus is a baby
people really love
at Christmas the best child
who came down above

Christmas is Coming Soon

by Heidi aged 13

It will be
Christmas soon
Decorate the tree
and wish that
it will snow.

Open your presents
What will they be?
Christmas roast
and more presents for me.

Christmas is Coming

Christmas is coming soon
You will get presents
It will get dark and snow in the sky
You will see the moon
Wake up soon
Santa‘s here.

Christmas

by Kedryn aged 14

Christ is the lord
He came down from above
Christmas is joyful
Oh, full of love

I wish it could snow
Everyday
Then I would go
Outside and play

Christmas dinner is great
I pile it on to my plate
I like my pudding best
Then I need a rest

Night Night

It was the night before Christmas…

Think

4
by Iona Mandal aged 9

Winning Poem

It has a happy meaning,
It has a happy name,
But for some in this world,
That is a downright lie

Think, when you and I gulp down our Christmas pudding,
The homeless gulp for a different reason altogether,
They gulp of fear, of dismay and dread,
Or if they will see daylight tomorrow

When all of us are tucked safely in our berth,
Waiting for Christmas Day to arrive,
The refugees are waiting,
For when their mind will be at peace

Think, when we give a treat to Santa,
On the night of Christmas Eve,
Somewhere in this world, people have nothing to give,
But lots to receive

When we enjoy our Christmas Day thoroughly,
Receiving presents, savouring the festive season,
They are facing another day of loneliness and fear,
Their Christmas is not our Christmas.

Its Time For Christmas

0
by David Sunday aged 11

It’s time for family
It’s time for Christmas
It’s time for joy
It’s time for Christmas
It’s time for turkey
It’s time for Christmas
It’s time for presents
It’s time for Christmas
It’s time for carols
It’s time for Christmas
It’s time for bed
Goodbye Christmas
