Crazy Ways to Get to the Moon

1
by Jeanri aged 9

Stack a thousand Eiffel towers on top of each other
Get a bird and ask to fly on it
Jump onto a plane and tell them to go to the moon
Escape school and stack thousands of paperwork together
Get a potato and throw it to the moon to make it fall down
Get some cheese for the moon to eat
And lastly be careful for any aliens on the way to the moon!

My Dancing Dog Never Listens

0
by Jeanri aged 9

My dancing dog never listens.
He dances everyday.
He hops, skips and jumps a million times in every way!
He even dances when I tell him to go out and play!
Whenever I open the door he just tries to run away.
One day he ran away and left his precious bone,
he didn’t even run back all the way home.
I decided to look around for him in the City.
I couldn’t find him – what a pity!
One day I found a dancing show.
I found him and called out, “The last time I saw you was a very long time ago!”
“Hush!” he barked proudly. “I don’t need your help”
He barked loudly. “Excuse me!” he called out
trying to move through the crazy crowd.
“Did you just talk!? I never knew you could speak!”, I shrieked.
“I know! My technique makes me unique.”
So that is the story of the dancing dog.
But did I mention about the frog on the log above the bog?

No Crying In Class

2
by Jeanri Jordaan aged 9

NO CRYING IN CLASS!
I cried in class because the teacher was shouting on me.
NO CRYING IN CLASS!
I cried in class when I broke my knee.
NO CRYING IN CLASS!
I cried when I had a cold because I had bad hygiene.
NO CRYING IN CLASS!
I cried when Bobby Crown was mean.
NO CRYING IN CLASS!
So they were the times when I have cried
and after that then everyone was horrified and cried…
NO CRYING IN CLASS!

The School Sound Collector

1
by Tony Barratt aged 10

A teacher called this morning
Dressed all in black and grey
Put every sound into a bag
And carried it away.

The ticking of the classroom clock
The kicking of a football over the wall
The shouting of the year 11’s as they move to their lessons
The banging of the Primary doors when someone is in a mood

The scraping of the dinner plates
The talking and moaning of the teachers in their meetings
The chattering of the secondary’s disturbing the Friday assembly
The popping of the footballs in Nelson’s jaws

A teacher called this morning
Dressed all in black and grey
Put every sound into a bag
And carried it away.

The Wind

1
by Archie Pugh aged 7

How the wind makes the leaves shiver
It brushes softly along our skin
It can be cold or freezing
It swirls along gently around you
Walking around with the breeze with you
You’re in your house, you slam the door,
Goodbye says the wind.

Happy Halloween

2
by Tayma Samaha aged 12

On Halloween night, when the moon is full,
And the shadows dance and swirl,
Ghosts and goblins come out to play,
In this magical world.

Jack-o’-lanterns grin with their toothy smiles,
As witches fly through the air,
Children laugh and trick-or-treat,
Without a single care.

Halloween is a night of magic,
When anything is possible,
So let your imagination run wild,
And have a night that’s truly enjoyable.

Happy Halloween!

Little Bunny

0
by Elliot aged 8

I saw a little bunny go hop, hop, hop,
I told the little bunny to stop, stop, stop
He wiggled his ears and crinkled his nose
And wiggled, wiggled, wiggled right down to his toes.
