High Sky

In the sky
Very high
I wish I could fly
In your eyes
Don’t tell a lie
But bye bye
And hi hi
There is beauty
In the sky

Don’t Worry

by Giselle aged 8

Don’t worry
I haven’t stayed up all night
eating cherries and strawberries
Give me a hand and I
will give you a band
I had an amazing day
I forgot it was May

The Night Sky

0
by Sahar Azar aged 10

Bright stars, bright stars
We see you shining brightly
You shine so bright in the light
of the magical moon tonight

Moon, the stars,
Stars, the moon,
The moon is like the sun
Shining brightly through the night

Allsorts

1
by Derrick aged 8

I like to eat all sorts of things
From fruits and nuts to chicken wings
But nothing makes me happier than
A bag of Allsorts in my hand

They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes
And all sorts of colours and surprises
Some are round and some are square
Some are soft and some are fair

Some are liquorice and some are coconut
Some are plain and some have dots
Some are weak and some have power
Some are sweet and some are sour

But all of them are delicious
And all of them are nutritious
They fill me up with joy and fun
Allsorts are for everyone

Squids Front Lawn

1
by Richard Stone aged ???

I’d like to be, on top of the sea, in a squid’s front lawn in the sun.
He doesn’t let us in, doesn’t know we’re we’ve been.
In her squid’s front lawn in the sun.
We would be so sad me and you. No one to tell us what to do.
IN A SQUIDS FRONT LAWN IN THE SUN!!

Auld Robert Burns

3
by Alesha Linda Hollick aged 12

Ranting, raving Robert
Och, so poor
Born to a farmer and a loving, religious, strict mother
Even if he slept in the rafters
Robert was so talented
The day his last son was born was when he died

Bonnie Burns lies as still as a statue today
Ugly William Shakespeare takes your legacy for England
Rats scurry where you used to sleep
Now you have a lovely snug cave
Snow falls on you

Tigers

Tigers are amazing.
I really want to pet one.
Go to a zoo – if you’re lucky you might see one.
Even when you’re feeling down a tiger will make you proud.
Round you’ll go to the zoo!
