In the Sun

0
by Dylan Griffiths aged 7

It’s a nice day in the sun
lots of children having fun
some riding on their skateboards and bikes
or with their phones hoping to get lots of likes
In the sun you feel warm or hot
if you don’t wear sun-cream you burn a lot
You must drink water throughout the day
if you don’t then you will pay
You will be dehydrated and feel unwell
and your body will start to smell
When you are out in the sun
be careful when you are having fun.

Unicorns

by Melody Massomi aged 7

Pirates, pirates are so mean
that is why the sea is green
Pirates, pirates don’t like unicorns
all because of their lovely horns

Mountains Nature

2
by Sherdil Asif aged 7

Mountains like green curtains,
The giant mountains walking with the tornadoes,
The tornadoes, mixture of wind and smoke
Opened the mountains,
And there came a huge fairyland,
Swinging fairies in the park.
Talked to the fairies,
Who are you?
I am from the upper part!
Go home! They said,
Sent me up in a carriage,
Went up the mountain,
Mountains joined again!

Nightlife in the Woods

1
by Katherine Taljaard aged 7

Nocturnal animals creeping through the woods
scavenging for delicious food.
Bats flying swiftly using their echo-location
to navigate through the sky.
Silent lakes, with the moon reflecting on the still waters.
Peacefulness broken
by hooting owls hunting for their prey.

We Are All Bored

1
by Mbanu aged 8

We are all bored
I read a book called Monstrous Maud
The TRAMPOLINE is clean
But it keeps raining ,
And there is no better thing,
than jumping up and down
and around on the TRAMPOLINE
SO you may have some ideas
Tell me if you have got one
See you on a Big BEE,
In a Humongous Hone eve…

How the Hyenas Hunted

1
by Hisham Abdullah aged 11

As the sun rose in the sky,
The antelopes woke and came.
But hiding in the deep caves,
The predators were ready for their game.
A game of ‘Chase’ or ‘It’
However not so friendly or fun.
Instead the hyenas played to feast
Until their prey were finished and done.

As the victims ate and ate their meal,
Which was fresh green grass,
The scavengers quietly hid
Waiting for their pass.
Every adult were silent,
Every child was in peace.
Until….POUNCE!
The scroungers began the ambush
That the targets were going to face.

The attack was rough
And the antelopes began to panic.
The hyenas surrounded them
While trying to nick a pick.
Finally, after a long time,
Most prey made their escape.
Only a few had been caught
With the hyenas
Feeding on their scraps.

Celeste

1
by Ludan aged 11

I close my eyes and I am teleported to a world of pure imagination; Celeste.

I ascend through the skies and layers of cotton clouds pass me by.

My eyes are blessed to see shades of lavender and salmon painted across the sky above.

I look beneath me to see that my feet are nestled on soft, white puffs; clouds!

It then hits me… Celeste!

The place of dreams is where I stood.

It is a place you will long to be in forever,
a place only few are lucky to see,
it is a place of fiction
but it is very much real,
a place that is far too spectacular to be described.

It is easy to go to Celeste.
You must simply fill your head
with the wildest of dreams
and the deepest of thoughts
and you too will be teleported
to this blissful wonderland…

The Earth’s Story

4
by Lyra Zborowski aged 10

I remember when life was good,
The sapphire blue sky above my head,
Birds gliding around in the air, free as can be.
The rivers trickled, icy cold, down my back and fish swam around inside.
The polar bears hunted,
Little lambs frolicked,
And the humans treated me with respect.
There was free land, grassy mounds,
and mountains standing tall on me,
Trees proudly keeping me well.

But one day, something went wrong.
The humans turned against me.
All my animals were free no longer,
either dead or in captivity,
And all of my trees were taken away to make furniture.
They took away my lakes,
and I cried, trying to make more,
but they would not let me.
All of my free land became houses and estates,
whilst the polar bears’ home was destroyed.
This is not the Earth I know.
Children, I beg you, help me before it is too late.

Last Night I Saw the Classroom

0
by Lily aged 9 (almost 10)

Last night, I saw the classroom sleeping,
Pencils slept in the pencil case and cuddled like a baby sleeping.
Books remained to sleep silently
behind the bookshelf peacefully
and snoozed up close together.
Whiteboards tucked up close together
and wriggled as if they were fish in a tank.

Last night, I saw the classroom angry,
Pencils argued about their size and color.
Crayons cracked due to the usage of its owner.

Last night, I saw the classroom dancing,
Rulers danced in the pot as if they were cheerleaders
supporting footballers in a match of football.
Tables ran through the classroom
as if they were skilful players.

Last night, I saw the classroom eating,
scissors slowly chewed and chomped the paper
like a cat eating a mouse.
The book ate the bookmark, beaming with excitement.

Last night, I saw the classroom playing.
Chairs were rugby players,
playing roughly as they tried to get over the tables.
Bins ate paper – like mice and cheese.

Last night, I saw the classroom talking,
Novels chatted as they read the class a calm story.
The displays moaned at who had the best creation.

FINALLY, THE CLASS WENT QUIET

Isolation

0
by Eloise Corr aged 7

Another day in isolation,
It was time for a new creation.

We are not allowed to go to the shops,
So I got out my crafts and made some props.

Staying at home in fancy dress,
Doing our bit for the NHS.

I made up some funny shows,
With the help of my two bro’s,

And I finished with a pose,
After blowing my nose.
