That Cheetah

0
by Ava Lemonnier aged 10

She watches her prey,
Silent,
In the tall grass,
Camouflaged,
Waiting for the time to come

when she can spring out
and catch her prey,
She will jump up
And act like wind,

Eating that delicious gazelle meat,
Her everyday diet,

Under the blistering hot sun,
Of the Savannah,

She’s the nightmare,
Of all animals,
Including me.

Nothing scares me more,
Than that spine chilling cheetah.

Summer, summer
It’s so warm
Summer summer
You can do anything in the
SUMMER
Play with skipping ropes
Play with bubbles
Draw fantastic art work with your colourful chalk
Play outside with your neighbours
And friends
In the summer.

In the Dark

0
by Ava aged 9

Everything is different in the dark
The netball hoop outside
More like the skeleton
Tapping at my window
Stars on my ceiling
Coming closer and closer
The doll on my window sill
Stalking me like a hawk
Everything is different in the dark

My Funny Dad

0
by Sherdil Asif aged 7 years and 9 months

My dad is fat,
Sometimes he plays with me,
On the mat,
He is a little rat,
I love him.
One day, he was above me,
so cute, he’s never mute.
One day he climbed a ladder,
Then, leaked his bladder,
So bad, how sad!
He wore a skirt,
And went into the mud,
The mud filled with dirt!
He eats cookies and
Calls his sister Hi Bookies!
He is old and bold!
He is so funny,
And has teeth like a bunny!
I love my dad!

What Happens in the Night

0
by Christina Shyju aged 8

In the night birds tweeting,
In the night the sound of the wind,
In the night the trees blowing,
In the night the night gets darker and darker
until, the leaves crackle and move.
In the night the night gets gloomier and gloomier.

What is the Sun?

1
by Anais Ampuero aged 11

The Sun is a power,
a source of vitality,
and with its aptitude,
it created humanity.

The Sun is luminous,
it produces light,
but for the human eye,
it might be too bright.

The sun is a danger,
a secret fear for all,
it is a big gas bomb,
and we are million times as small.

A Walk in Nature

3
by Selim Abbas aged 7

I heard the splashing water,
The tweets of the birds.
I felt the floppy leaves touching my hands.
I saw a beautiful bunny.
A little grasshopper leap across me,
And my soft dog raced me.

Bored in a House

by Dexter aged 10

I’m bored in a house and I’m in a house bored
Bored in a house and I’m in a house bored
I’m bored in a house and I’m in a house bored
Cause I’m bored in a house and I’m in a house bored
I really am bored in my house all day
But when quarantine’s over I’ll go out to play
Be fun in a house in a house there’ll be fun
So hopefully soon it is over and done

(Read it a little fast cause it has more sense like that)

Nature

by Zayd aged 8

It is so beautiful outside
When I looked the sun was bright
The flowers were shining
The trees were reclining
The leaves were dancing
The birds were singing
I was enjoying
Nature rejoicing
