Entrapment

2
by Max Maroudias aged 9

Dark days,
Going nowhere,
Doing nothing,
Having nothing,
Too scared to cough.

No more school,
Still more work.

Happy days,
Happy nights.

The virus cautiously rushing through veins,
Deaths throughout every day,
No way to stop it, yet…

Only one way to stop it spreading,
To stay away from the unknown,
But no way to cure it,
A never-ending fear…

Jesus, the Easter Story

1
by Isabelle Boardman aged 8

Jesus, oh Jesus,
You are the best,
You died for our sins,
Oh, do have a rest.
You came back to life,
In only three days,
Jesus, oh Jesus
We give you our praise.

The Truth

by Esha aged 11

To tell or not to tell,
That is the question.
To admit that I ate the last piece of cake,
and to be tortured all year,
or to keep quiet,
and be asked over and over.
Either way has suffered,
To admit or not to admit,
that is now the question.

NHS

NHS is the best
NHS beats the rest
NHS helped my dad
I like them all, some are mad
We thank the NHS today
On Thursday nights we say hooray.

Water Bottle

by Samantha aged 11

My water bottle is filled in the morning,
At 8 pm I drink it all
And then I fill it up again
My water bottle is blue and black
It makes weird noises like a splat

Seasons

by Nikki Lahori aged 11

Spring
The fields are rich with daffodils,
A coat of clover cloaks the hills,
And I must dance and sing to see the beauty of spring…

I Am Earth

1
by Dorcas aged 10

I am the Earth, you see,
And it is excruciating pain,
Because humans are killing me,
It’s making me go insane.

I am home to the world’s best nature,
I am a beautiful place,
I am a part of your future,
But right now I’m a load of waste.

I’m a mixture of green and blue,
But my blue is turning brown,
This world is for me and for you,
Humans are making me frown.

I used to be so pretty,
How can this be?
I think I deserve some pity,
I am the Earth, you see.

Winter

by Thomas aged 7

In the shining snow,
there was a beautiful glow,
a girl silently danced around.
She tip-toed carefully on the soft ground
Finally it was silent and the glow was gone.
