Locked Up in a Second

by Nafeesa aged 11

At the beginning of this year,
Everything was a big cheer,
I thought things would inspire us,
Until there came along a virus.

At first everything was normal,
But then got worse and went to level abnormal,
Shops were raided,
People were separated,
The funniest thing that was wanted,
Was bog roll all guarded.

Schools shut down,
And shops got closed,
No one was allowed out,
Because everything was on lock down.

Scientists are trying to find a vaccine,
But lets hope they find one before I turn nineteen

The world is a mess
we are caring less and less
This thing we are experiencing,
this virus
So listen to the bird’s song
Please

Smiles

by Evan aged 10

I used to smile long ago
when we could play together
in the fields and parks.
The beautiful sunlight shining down,
oh, I miss the smiles
I saw once, long ago.

Coronavirus Disease

I will kill more
Than before
May have a lot
Maybe not
Italy spread far
All died as cold as a jar of tar
NHS will defeat me in not too long
And this song will be wrong
But your smile
Will make me run a mile
Yours,
Deadly Corona

Rainbow

Red says I am the best!
I am red, red, red!
Anything can be red
So I am best.
Orange says No no!
Don’t say that –
Orange is laughter!
Can you do that?
Yellow says, Ha ha
You wish
Soy la mejor
Is I am best in Spanish.
Green says, You guys
My colour is beautiful
In eyes
Blue says, Hello.
Can’t you see
I am the best colour
Don’t you agree?
Purple says, STOP
We are all amazing
In our ways
Respect who you are
You are all amazing!!!!

The Sea

The sea,
It’s good for you and me,
It makes me run so happily,
It makes me jump,
It makes me smile,
And it makes me swim a mile.

If Only

by Ella aged 9

If only, if only
The woodpecker sighs,
The bark on the tree
Was just a little bit softer

Chair

by Isabelle Boardman aged 8

Chair,
Oh where could you be,
I need you so dreadfully,
I need to sit down,
To get rid of my frown.
Chair,
Oh where could you be?
