My Lockdown Poem

0
by Sabrina Kanli aged 11

Wake up,
Work from home
Stare longingly out of the window,
What a sunny day…

Wake up,
Work from home,
Why can’t we go out and play?

‘Stay at home,
Save lives’,
That’s what they say,
But I think there’s going to be a riot someday.

Wake up,
Queue for hours outside the supermarket,
Wait hours for public transport,
Coronavirus, one day you are going to pay.

Wake up,
Go for my daily exercise,
Talk to my friends,
Read in the garden,
Maybe isolation is okay.

Love is nice
Hate is not

I love his poems

NHS

by Luke aged 10

Save our NHS
It is helping thousands of people across the UK
It is what is keeping people alive during this crisis
We need to support the NHS
It is saving lives
Who knows, it could be saving you now, so please
Help the NHS

Coronavirus Disease

0
by Shreeya aged 8

I will kill more
Than before
May have a lot
Maybe not
Italy spread far
All died as cold as a jar of tar
NHS will defeat me in not too long
And this song will be wrong
But your will is just as powerful
Your smile will make me run a mile

Yours, deadly Corona Virus

Living in the Woodlands

0
by Finlay Millsom aged 8

Hedgehogs playing in the leaves
might just be thieves
Fish swimming in the lake
seeking breadcrumb flake
Bees creating honey
buzzing happily and funny
Woodland blooming in the spring
makes you feel ker-ching!

Under the Sea!

0
by Katy Ingleson aged 8

Under the sea,
Is where I like to be,
Turtles swim cheerfully,
Sharks are swimming happily,
Starfish moving differently,
Whales calling specially,
Fish swimming elegantly,
Dolphins jumping wonderfully,
Under the sea is a wonderful place to be!

The Magical Rainbow Elephant

7
by Charlottei aged 10

The elephant silvery blue
trumpet up on cue
long trunk, wise eyes
huge, immense size

The magical water shine
twisting water vine
through the body
can’t you see?

Magical mist
in the sun
crazy chemical
element

The beast rears up
into the sky
past trees and clouds
night sky high

Through the trunk
mystical spray
rainbow water
shout hooray

Elephant rainbow
in the sky
elephant rainbow
up so high

Trees

by Hi aged 6

Trees, trees, they’re good for the world
The more you plant the more live

Trees, trees the birdies’ homes
The fewer you cut down
The more chirps in the sky

Americana

by Jaiden Suelto aged 9

Americana is red, white and blue
Americana smells like apple pie
Americana tastes like a Fourth of July barbecue
Americana looks like the Statue of Liberty in New York
to the Golden Gate Bridge of California
Americana feels like my cosy home
Americana sounds like the Liberty Bell of Philadelphia
Americana is soaring like the bald eagle
