The Solar System

by Joe aged ?

Sun shines bright up in the air
Over a billion years
Lights up the world
And
King of Planets

Space here we come
You can come to only if you have a
Spacesuit
Travelling to Mars here I come
Earth left behind
Mercury first before we go

Future

Ambition
Where does it go when there is no vision?
How does it live when people aren’t wishing?
Silence or rhythm
Truth or fiction
Subtraction or addition
These questions are all winking
And the answers are all hidden
But
Perhaps there will be wisdom
The future it is glistening
Like the stars in the sky that are shining
Though the path may be winding
At the end there is an horizon
Where in the future ambitions are flying
Like birds soaring and gliding
And they land, smiling
It’s blinding
Future
Ambition
And you’re still hiding?

My Cute Dog

by Orla Kate Sinclair aged 7

Teddy is cute
Teddy is funny
He always lies on the bed with me

Teddy is playful
Teddy is cheerful
He always wags his tail a lot

Teddy is silly
Teddy is curly
He always chases sticks and leaves
I love my cockapoo!

Ouch!

when I had a concussion
it hurt

When I had stitches
it hurt

When I broke my arm
it hurt

when I bled
it hurt

when I bruised
it hurt

ouch!

The Four Seasons

by Sizhe aged 9

On a fine Spring day
We always go out to play
We play all day long until the night
It will be time for dinner so take a bite

Next is Summer so nice and hot
Relax and chill or play a lot
You need a cold drink to cool you down
Have a dress party and wear your formal gown

Autumn has arrived, it’s time for Halloween
Dress up like Yoda or Shrek who is green
Warm up in a blanket and eat some snacks
But don’t eat the liquorice that is black

Winter has came, it’s the festive season
It is Christmas, that’s the reason
As your present you get a scooter
Now it’s January HAPPY NEW YEAR

Lockdown

When your bored at home there’s so much you can do
Play games or relax, it’s all up to you
Your trapped at home so make some DIYs
Like use paper to build a cacti

Sleep in or energise, do whatever you want to do
Pull a prank by putting slime in someone’s shoes
Do some baking and make some cupcakes
Or pretend you’re a giant earthquake

You’ve got a backyard so have some fresh air
Have some fun and build a fun fair
A ton of fun whilst stuck at home
Let’s say for now your house is protected by a dome

Crazy Quarantine

by Ruby aged 11

Crazy quarantine!
Most people are acting lazy
Get outside for a run
and make sure you have lots of fun.
Buying chocolate isn’t essential,
buy fruits and veggies
to get you through quarantine.
At 8:00 on Thursday clap for the N.H.S
They are risking their lives for us
and thank mums and dads for being your teachers.

Spring Has Come

0
by Rose Mcgrath and Molly Copestake aged 9

Spring has come,
Out comes the sun,
There are beautiful blossom trees
And big bumblebees.
The flowers look so wonderfully pretty,
Even in the busy city.
Spring has come and we love to play,
We can play in the meadows all day.
Little lambs are being born,
Bunnies are running around on your lawn
