Fortnite

Fortnite is my favourite game
I love almost as much as there is rain
I love Fortnite, it’s so cool
I would play it in a swimming pool

No Friends

by Charlie Britton aged 9

No friends, what can we do?
I just want to get back with you
No playing together
Even though it’s great weather
Playing tip was such fun
Now we’re not allowed near anyone

Lockdown

Lockdown is boring
Out of our minds
Come back old life
Kicking footballs
Don’t forget
Over soon we all hope
Win for lockdown
Now we’re bored

Sisters Forever and Ever and Ever

by Samya Kulshreshtha aged 10

Sisters forever and ever and ever,
We’ll be together all the time,
Don’t be upset when the clock will chime,
We’ll never be together,
That’s a lie,
Sisters forever, that way is better

Somewhere

Somewhere is a rainbow,
And a pot of gold,
Where the stories unfold,
And morning is forever!

In there are magical adventures coming your way,
So join in and become the hero of the day!

What Do You Want to Be?

0
by Reem Kazmi aged 9

Life is full of things to do,
Whether it’s playing the piano or just something you drew,
You never know what you might end up as, after all, you could be feeding an emu!

Does your heart’s desire lie with gadgets and gizmos or even books?
Or would you rather be interested in good looks?
Whatever you do, PLEASE don’t team up with a gang of crooks!

Then again, it’s not for me to tell you what you should be,
For that is a decision entitled to only thee,
Indeed, you could be watering an apple tree!

Let me ask you a question,
Don’t worry, there’s no need for tension!
Yet I really think this deserves a mention:

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?

What Do You Want to Be?

What do you want to be?
What do you want to be?
What do you want to be?

Maybe you wish to Skye?
Maybe you want to be on TV?
Or you can sit in a tree?
Maybe you just want some tea?

Maybe you want to fly?
All the way up in the sky?
Maybe you want to be a tailor?
Maybe you want to be everything but a failure?

Maybe you want to be famous?
Maybe you want to fly to the planet Uranus?
But just remember you can be
Whatever you want to be.

Up

Up, up, up and away!
The superhero flies away.
He twists and turns,
but his stomach never churns.

He has a shield,
he has a force field.

UP, UP, UP he will fly,
he doesn’t even need to try.
UP, UP, UP to the clouds,
he only weighs 2 pounds.

Home

Home is where I like to be
Home is where I like to relax
Home is a place where you should feel safe
All houses are diverse,
big or small, wide or narrow, tall or short
Your home is where you place to live

The Bright Side

1
by Jayda Paramasivam aged 10

Replaced with sorrow; all hope is lost,
We would pay for freedom at any cost.
Then you think of what you could have done,
The joyous memories; the moments of fun.

That’s when you realise it is all over now,
All because the government won’t allow.
They’re working very hard to save our lives,
They try their best so everyone survives.

You start to remember everyone you miss,
Before thinking ‘Why do I deserve this?’.
There are many emotions you try to hide,
But why don’t you think on the bright side?

Since you’re at home; have some family time,
Play all-day till the moon starts to climb.
You can chat non-stop with your friends online,
Express all your feelings and you’ll feel fine.

All parts of nature; even rocks you’ve thrown
Has had a great impact from just leaving it alone.
Whilst we are in lockdown and trying to stay in our hutch,
Air pollution is reduced because we don’t use our car so much.

It’s all up to you; you’ve only got one life,
what do you choose; positivity or strife?
It’s difficult to move on without those who died,
But ALWAYS remember to think on the bright side.
