A Calm Place

River flowing
Vines growing
Waterfall falling
Ground dampening
Grass moistening
Deers mating
Squirrels hibernating
Mice go into hiding
Hedgehogs scavenging

Roses – Not a Love Poem

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I will stick to you like super glue
I will stay by your side
Make sure you have pride
Love you through everything
Every tiny thing

Where Am I?

0
by India Creek aged 9

Where am I?
What is this place?
Why so empty?
Where is everyone?
This wasteland
What is this creature?
What is this smell?
What is this sound?
What is everything?

Greetings

John said hi
and Paul said Hey!
Josh said Hello!
And lets play!
If someone has no one to play with –
use these greetings and start a game!

Wasteland

Here I am stood in a wasteland
nothing here
no plants, no land animals
just me and the sea
filled with lobsters
weeds jumping out like wild un-brushed hair.
I wonder why it is so lonely
Where is everything?
Am I on Mars?

Scarecrow

Scarecrow, lonely, stood in a field
day after day
scared, alone, depressed
being eaten in the inside
empty, clueless.

Why do I have to do this, he thinks.
I want to play with animals
not scare them away
They never dare to confront me. ☹

My Family

My family, all have their quirks
their ups and down
they’re all different in the own special ways
true to their hearts
and who they want to be
They’re all as bright as the sun,
and as smart as Einstein
That’s my family

Spread Awareness

Misunderstood, over fished, nearly endangered
Please put this to an end
Save the Sharks, leave them alone
Let them live in their crystal blue waters
Save the endangered
Think about the impact a plastic bottle can do
Recycle and don’t litter
That’s what you can do.

My Mum

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Nobody else
Is like you
Crystal blue eyes
Like the clearest lagoon
Optimistic personality
Makes her different from the rest
Friendly and funny

Roses

Roses are red
In the flower bed
Slowly growing
Under the sun that’s glowing
In the rain
Petals they gain
Through the thistles
Over the Bristles
Sharp thorns
And roots under the lawn.
