Candy Rush

by Sizhe aged 9

I love candy and it’s sweet
Cakes and chocolate can’t be beat
Candy canes and fudge brownies
Veggies and fruit are just baloney

Delicious jelly and gummy bears
Are all the snacks you can’t bear
Stacks of sweets and a sugar mountain
Are all the sugars that will win

Jelly stacks and gingerbread houses
Ice lollies and Mr Freezes
Delicious Delicious I love candy
But the skittles are SUPER YUMMY

The War Will End

0
by Daisy Woods aged 10

There is a war,
fought across many lands.
That unfortunately,
has taken many.

It is not fought with guns,
or on green battle field,
However with doctors
and nurses, heroes alike.

Though the death toll is high,
and no one knows why.
I swear that now may be a sad day,
But it will be over soon.

As the world heals from its mighty blow,
All that I would have you know,
Is that If you need help or support,
we are all here for you

Save the Ocean

0
by Isabelle Boardman aged 8

Plastic is bad for the ocean,
Waitrose bags and more,
Turtles think it’s jellyfish,
But get washed up dead on the shore,
So when you’re finished with your plastic,
Don’t put it on the floor,
Put it in the right bins,
To save the whales the turtles and the dolphins.

Cats and Dogs

0
by Katy Ingleson aged 8

Cats and dogs,
Piles of logs,
There’s a hog sat in a bog,

Dogs and cats,
Wearing hats,
Whilst sitting on their mats,

Sheep and goats,
Wearing coats,
They saw lots of boats,

Goats and sheep,
Taking a peep,
Whilst falling in a deep sleep,

Cows and bunny,
Stealing money,
Whilst eating a pot of honey,

Bunnyies and cow,
Taking a bow,
That’s the end of my poem now!

Black lives matter
not just whites
Some can love and some
can doubt
But we can all work this out

Lioncorn

2
by Freddie aged 8

I was a lion when I was born
Then I magically grew a horn
I know that is not the norm
But now I am a lioncorn

I come out at night
With a fearsome bite
If you want a fight
I can beat a knight

I don’t need the vet
Because I’m no normal pet
I’m the bravest you can get
Though I do get quite wet

I can destroy some tech
It only takes a sec
I’m like a piece of mech
But that doesn’t mean I wreck
