Lost

The vibrant park catches my attention,
Falling slowly into another dimension,
Must keep my promise,
Must not be out too late,
But when I lose track of time,
I lose sight of a familiar face,
Thoughts of sadness,
Inside my head,
Facing the day,
With never ending dread.

My parent’s voice
Pierces the air,
That’s all it took,
Tender loving care,
I followed the voice,
As far as it goes,
And finally came out,
From the gloomy flows.
Now happily reunited,
With my family,
Feelings of been lost and worried,
Were only temporary.

Sneaky slithery snake slipped on the slide.
Sneaky slithery snake went on a ride.

Sneaky slithery snake went for a stakeout.
Sneaky slithery snake was slithering about.

Sneaky slithery snake went to sleep.
Sneaky slithery snake went underground so deep.

Sneaky slithery snake was a star.
Sneaky slithery snake bought a new car.

Sneaky slithery snake was rich.
Sneaky slithery snake visited the witch.

Mum and Dad

My mum and dad,
Whenever they are sad,
They always help each other,
They always love one another.

I hope their love will never die,
If it does i will just cry,
Sometimes they fight,
But they always make it right.

My mum and dad!

The Rabbit on the Moon

by Chamalka Rupasinghe aged 12

Some people want to go to the moon
To eat cheese with a spoon.
But some also wanted to see the fuzzy rabbit,
Because staying in the moon is his habit.

Some people went to the moon
On a witch’s magic broom.
But some also went on a rocket,
With sixty pennies in their pocket.

Finally we landed on the moon,
And ate our lunch at half past noon.
Suddenly we heard a strange sound,
Beneath the moon’s ground.

Then from a hole as dark as night,
Appeared a rabbit in sight.
The rabbit was white and slightly brown,
And on his head there was a crown.

He wore a cape with silver lining,
Patterns within were so admiring.
He was filled with kindness and delight,
He gave us even his golden kite.

We were served with sweet fruits and treats,
And even hot grilled cheese.
We played with him and his toys,
Altogether the girls and boys.

We had so much fun and played all day,
All because of this wonderful day.
We said goodbye and went to Earth,
And slept beside the fire hearth

We will never forget this majestic day,
Forever in our heart will this stay.
One day shall we go to the moon again,
To see the rabbit our friend.

Dreams

When I go to sleep I think of what I will dream,
Usually something to do with food like ice-cream.
When I dream, I don’t even want to wake up,
but eventually I will have to i
I just want to scream.
But if I do that it will be terrible.

When I go to sleep I think of what I will dream,
a dream is a dream that you might never have again
you might forget it when you wake up
so you won’t remember it at all .

Sometimes I love my dreams
Sometimes I don’t.
Sometimes I’m happy whilst having a dream
and sometimes I will be scared

Until I have it, I wont know if I’ll enjoy it.
So, there’s no way of telling
until my dreams and nightmares arrive .

Summer of ’19

It was The Summer Of ’19
That I fell For you
The Air was Cool
The night was new
The End Of July
Was Now A do
And My Love For You
Brewed and Brewed
Until I knew
Your Love Was Like the Flu
So Contagious And Anew
And Others Got it too
I have to say I can’t Undo
My Love for you
It was The Summer Of 19
That I fell for you
The air was Cool
But The Night Was Noon
The End Of August
Was Now A do
And My Love For You
Brewed And Brewed
Until I Knew
Your Love was Like the Flu
So Contagious and Anew
And Others Got it too
I have to Say..
I can’t Undo
My Love for You
It’s now The end Of ’19
The Summer That I Fell For you
Now I’m Here In My bed
With A Box Of Tissues
Watching You Online
With Your New Romance
Happy Inside
That I had the chance
To Be in Love with You
Until I Knew
Your Love Was Like The Flu

Henry the Eighth

Henry the Eighth died so swell,
He was rounder than the biggest well.
Henry the Eighth,
Really was bigger and rounder than
The biggest ever frying pan.
