Blossoming Petals
Unnoticed by many, bio-diverse flowers’ colorful petals,
Some sloppy as elastic, and others as rigid as metals,
As daffodils open on the first day of summer,
They release rays like the sun and plenty of shimmer,
Lilies, rare to find, and not as colorful as the others,
If you look closely, you’ll see pity pink and yelling yellow,
Buttercups, yellow and glistening as bright as can be,
Always swinging in the whistling wind happily,
Thorns, muffled shouting, willing to be loved and admired,
Instead of being grown behind torn, metal wires,
When I glance at the flowers, a tingle of joy runs through my body,
That same thing happens to everybody!
Unnoticed by many, bio-diverse flowers’ colored petals,
Some sloppy as elastic, and others as rigid as metals!
Where Do I Come From?
Where do I come from?
Why don’t you see,
I come from a planet called Blabbercity!
Where the grass is blue and the skies are red,
But most importantly, cows are dead!
In Blabbercity, humans eat worms
And also cats really squirm!
But now I must return to my planet.
Pass on the secret – if you have it!
Mr Magoo’s Amazing Zoo
In Mr Magoo’s Amazing Zoo
He has animals that do lots of poo
He has lions that squeal,
And lizards that peel
Your skin off until you turn teal
There are zebras that run
Until you give them a bun,
And he has tigers that start fires
But last of all,
He has sparrows that fall.
Zoo
My trip to the
zoo was on Thursday
night, when I heard
the news I was full
of delight. In the zoo
there is a field with
cows, when I go near
them they all start
to MOO! There is
a giraffe (he loves
eating grass), there
is an antelope and
she is really fast.
There is a big bear
who has a lot of hair.
When my sister saw
it he gave her a nightmare.
There is a big bird
(I don’t know
which sort), the person
who feeds it is really
short. There is a panda
I named Lou, the
only thing it does
is eat bamboo.
I know the zoo
is full of
beautiful animals
and plants, but
let’s get this clear
the only reason
I go there is to
get a souvenir!
The Gnome
In the garden back at my home,
There is a strange thing called a gnome.
There about fifteen gnomes outside,
And I’ve heard that they are now world wide.
They have tall and pointy hats,
And I don’t know what’s the use of that.
They have a round and sturdy tummy,
And I think they’re quite funny.
They have white beards and don’t look old,
I don’t even know if they’re bold.
They never move a single muscle,
And only hold their lovely shovel.
Some hold a bunch of flowers,
And others stand on tiny stone towers.
But in one thing they help us doing all day,
They keep all the pests in our garden away.
William Shakespeare
To be or not to be that is the question, famous words that introduce the Hamlet play,
Oh, William Shakespeare wrote his plays in such a wonderful way,
Hamlet starts with AAAH, the muffled scream of king Hamlet being killed,
Hamlet sees his father’s ghost, determined to seek revenge, so kills CLaudius with a poisoned sword,
Romeo and Juliet belong to two noble families,
who were mortal enemies.
However, at the masked ball, the two fall in love and marry secretly.
All’s well that ends well, Helen heals the king of France and is allowed to marry Bertran,
As Helen completes the tasks, Bertran acknowledges their marriage in return.
Scottish general Macbeth is told by three witches he will become king
He killed many people and then realized he shouldn’t have listened to them,
We can never forget the hundred and fifty-four poems he wrote,
He must have felt ecstatic when he wrote about Lake of Lucracea,
He added many words to our language, so we should thank him dearly,
As these words complete our sentences clearly!
In 2020…..
In 2020 a new virus came to stay,
the government told us all to hide away.
What can I say,
I never knew life could be this way.
We couldn’t forget the Thursday cheer,
saying thank you to the NHS while everyone drank beer.
School from a laptop, that’s something new,
Mum having to mark my work too!
Remember, stay at home,
as one day this will end,
we’ll all be happy again.
