My Home

by Mariam aged 9

Last week I saw my home laughing
My brother holding his i-pad wiggling
TV’s getting louder giggling
Curtains shaking in the air
And people laughing everywhere

Last week I saw my home crying
My brother sobbing tears down his chubby cheeks
TV’s off and making the creaks
Curtains closing and covering the light
And nothing isn’t making it any bright

Last week I saw my home shouting
My brother yelling and kicking the chair
Curtains rustling and rustling around
TV’s getting louder and louder
And everything is angry everywhere

Last week I saw my home sleeping
Oxygen wires around my brother’s face
Street lamps on in every place
Birds flying to their nests
And people sleeping or having rest
When I grow up I’m going to look after him
And he will be a normal boy
Just like everyone else

The Desert

by Subhan aged 9

Last week, I saw the desert playing
Birds flying
And the snakes slithering and swirling like seven tornadoes
With eight other animals.

Last night, I saw the desert singing
The birds tweeting in a echoey voice,
And the owls hooting in a grumpy voice.

Last night, I saw the desert breathing
Great gusts of clouds blocking the blaze
And the animals enjoying the rain.

Last night I saw the desert playing
snakes smiling
And animals eating
With buffaloes beating.

Last night , I saw the the desert screaming
Lots of animal loosing there lives
And ten times more louder cries.

The Abandoned City

by Denis aged 9

Last week, I saw the abandoned city hurting
Sandstorms charging at buildings
Trees jumping away from disaster
Cars getting devoured by ravenous sand.

Last week, I saw the abandoned city fall
Structures tumbling downwards to the floor
Cars passing away from pounding trees

Last week, I saw the abandoned city pass away
Trees leaves getting pulled by wind
Bees running away from sadness

Late week, I saw the chocolate factory
Chocolate machines
Gobbled up the chocolate
The chocolate river
Drank all the chocolate.

Last week, I saw the chocolate factory
Chocolate bars dancing
Sweets beautifully sang
chocolate waterfall like a DJ

Last week, I saw the chocolate factory dancing
Candy waved their hips to hips
Chocolate started flossing
Gumballs jumped up and down.

The Farm

by Krzysztof aged 10

Last night I saw the farm awakening,
All pigs gather up in mud
Running, jumping do all the chicks
Run, run from the goats

Last night I saw the farm laughing,
All the farmers going, “Hahaha look at the pigs!”
Barging goats bleat on and on
Stare, stare and stare do all the sheep

Last night I saw the farm chatting,
“Mud more mud!” go all the pigs
“Shear me I have more wool!” go the sheep
And farmers they go “The sky is crying so much today.”

Last night I saw the farm eating,
Farmers eat all soup
Eating like a flash do the pigs

Last night I saw the farm sleeping,
Snoring like giants
Sleep goes on
Quiet, nothing else
Just quiet…

Last Night I Saw a Ship

1
by Gabija aged 10

Last night I saw the ship awakening,
The sea calm as calm as swings in the breeze
The fishes saying good morning,
Jumping up and down.

Last night I saw the ship relaxing,
The sea with waves
Calm waves playing .

Last night I saw the ship resting,
The little blinking rainbow lights turning on and off,
And birds singing.

Last night I saw the ship sleeping,
The sea town empty with all shop mouths closing
And people sleeping so sweet in their houses.

Last night I saw the ship drowning,
Saying goodbye to perfect morning
Being sad and heart broken.

The School is Alive!

4
by Veronika aged 9

Yesterday, I saw the school awakening,
Doors opening their mouths,
Gates flying high,
Lockers said hello after a long weekend,
As the wind quietly sighs.

Yesterday, I saw the school running,
Fields getting crushed,
Students moved like light,
And teachers moved like earth.

Yesterday, I saw the school crying,
Students having a bath of blood,
Cranberry on the ground,
Teachers hair receding,
As a corpse makes a sound.

Yesterday, I saw the school eating,
Sandwiches and slithering snakes,
Kids were as happy as a Cheshire Cat,
Teachers could finally eat their rainforest,
Some people didn’t have any….
Because I ate their food….

Yesterday, I saw the school leaving,
In one pull of a door,
The students were ghosts,
The classroom soon became an abandoned house,
And Mrs. Quinn,
The funeral instructor.

Yesterday, I saw the school ageing,
Spider webs in corners,
Rats now have a home rent free,
And bricks turn grey with rage.

Last night, I saw lions grooming,
Lick, lick
The cold Night,
Hyenas running,
Lions resting,

Last week, I saw Lions feasting,
Fast food chefs prepare buffalo wings,
For tiny starving customer,

Planets

by Samiksha aged 9

Planets were floating around the sun,
Playing games of tag,
Getting dizzier every second,
Becoming tired from the fun.

Later when the planets slowed,
Glitter shone from far away,
A hole transformed from old stars,
And on Earth it had been a day.

A month had passed on beloved earth,
A solar eclipse started,
Time had come,
Uranus tilted,
Sleeping on mid-space,
Astronauts raced to their rockets,
Fly away, fly away.

Neptune froze but didn’t give up,
It’s far away from the sun,
Venus burned itself,
But again it started to run!

Earth got happier and happier,
As it obeyed the sun once more,
June came and went,
And in July,
Heat came from the core.

Then a year passed on Earth,
Astronauts went away,
Planets ran around the sun again,
But Pluto,
Flew away.

The Shooting Star

by Ignas aged 9

Last night I saw saw a shooting star
A white beautiful star, shooting through the nice night sky,
Looking like a UFO, blinking up very high,
The beaming asteroid disappeared Into the sky,

Last night I started flying
Going up so high in the sky,
Talking to the birds and saying good bye,
I fly back down and go to my bed and lie,

Last night I was calm
Fire cackling I swayed to the fire,
No one likes a dirty liar,
All of a sudden I became shyer,

Last night I was dreaming
Could this all be a dream,
Or was there a glorious beam,
Or is it a magic realm?

Last night I woke up
It was a dream but the best,
I will always remember it I swear my chest,
I’ll just sleep in my bed some more and rest,
