We pray a Merry Christmas for those that are dear,
Whether it be full of toys or filled with Christmas cheer.
We set up all our stockings or listen for ringing bells,
As we sit down by the fire and enjoy the Christmas smells.
Later on we tuck in bed as many dreams fill our head.
We dream of sounding bells or old timeless tales.
But in our sleep he comes to creep,
Through the door or down the floor,
In the basement, in the attic,
A big wondrous toy mechanic!
He is there.. there is he…
Mr Claus, where could he be?
As quick as light, a flash in the night,
Santa Claus comes tonight!

Fantastic Frost
On frosty days when it’s sunny and bright,
I see the frost on tree branches and fence posts.
I feel the cold when I walk through the mist,
it’s like ice-cubes in a freezer or frozen pizza.
When I smell the frost I feel the cold go up my nose,
when I touch the frost I get frozen to stone.
When I hear my shoes crunching the frost to pieces,
it sounds like a chocolate wrapper being torn apart.
When the frost is in the Sun it starts to shine,
it’s like sparkling diamonds in the bright sunlight.
When it’s in the sun it starts to melt
so bye, bye frost, see you again.
Season of Sparkle
It is nearly the season of sparkle,
Not very long to go!
I am mega-excited,
I wonder if there’ll be snow?
I really hope Santa comes,
I really would like my present!
I really hope I can be with everyone,
It would be very pleasant!
Will we get to celebrate?
Will we be together?
I cannot answer that,
But if we are, it’s now or never.
Broccoli-House
Last night when I was having dinner
It was the best ever
I came across a piece of broccoli
Which I eat almost never
It was green with a stalk
It was chunky and thick
And a floret of bush on top
Broccoli just makes me sick
It’s my least favourite crop
Anyway attached to my broccoli
A wooden house- brown and light
I was flabbergasted – shocked
This was such an unusual sight
A ladder popped out of the stalk
made of smooth brown oak
I cut the broccoli
The wonder house broke
Was it a dream ?
Did I hallucinate?
I blinked
There’s no broccoli on my plate

War is Over
If only we could have beaten those annoying Germans
We threw thousands of shells but it was not worth it
They just hid in the poor trenches eww!
I hate those silly Germans
They shot all of my men except from one
Until one day we gave up they won the battle
Finally it’s over!!!
Twinkle Star
Twinkle twinkle little star
Harry Potter has a scar
Strawberry jam in a jar
We are stuck in the tar
I am the Russian Czar
Relaxing at the spa
Smoking the big cigar
Listening to the bass guitar
We own an electric car
To the restaurant and bar
Don’t worry it’s not that far
So twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are?
