We’re killing the earth,
And that’s really fun,
No believes us because we are young,
Our forests are turning to ash in seconds,
Ask California, they’ll tell you about it,
They’ll tell you how they have lost their homes,
Even Australia joining in too,
They will tell you how hot it is there,
And what the fires are doing over there,
Pollutions is caused by many things,
For example;
Us human beings.

It’s the End of November
It’s the end of November,
December has only just come,
Goodbye Thanksgiving and Autumn too!
Next year hopefully we’ll see you.
But everyone’s excited, they just can’t help it,
For the holiday season has come.
Elves, Santa, Candy Canes and Grottos.
Possibly the most festive holiday
or the one that gives you a headache just talking about it!
That feeling on Christmas Day, that present perfect feeling,
is one of the best on earth, well for you and me.
As unfortunately,
There are others that haven’t been as lucky.
So as we think of this festive time, spend a moment a day to think.
About how grateful you are for your family and friends, your health and home…
Ladybird
You have paint blobs of black,
Splattered across your delicate back.
You have a shell of tomato red,
From thin black legs to a small round head.
Tiptoeing cautiously across a leaf,
Little wings are hidden beneath.
My admiration seems absurd,
You are a wonderful ladybird.
The Ups and Downs of Nature
A silky badger scuttles around looking for leaves near the ground
bit by bit he builds his den and then eyes a rabbit in their pen
You will see a magical wonder
if you have the brain to ponder
A shaggy dog comes trotting passed hoping for some food
a shifty fox stealthy in a fight can be seen scavenging for a tasty bite
You will see a magical wonder
if you have the brain to ponder.
In the dead of night a hooting owl is taking flight
inside through the day and out at night this mighty bird catches its prey.
London, Lanka, Lautoka
I made this poem for my grandparents as it was their 50th (gold) wedding anniversary 3 days ago- these are the main places they have lived:
Tall, monstrous buildings
Street fights
Wailing sirens
Cold nights
Hard work
Freezing air
Ilford lights
The blinding glare
Moved to Sri Lanka
Warm is the ground
Hot like summer
All year round
Cliffs and temples
Sand and sea
Run and climb
A mango tree
We’re now in Lautoka
A city in Fiji
Calm and happy
A place to run freely
Tropical waters
Tranquil and peace
Warm and wonderful
Humidity increase
Married in 1970
3 children in the nursery
The colour: gold
The 50th anniversary
Last Day of School
Today is the last day of school, I’m so excited to see my family
Me and my friends are so excited to be all with our teacher
But when I left school I felt lonely and sad and I said I don’t want school to end,
But she said that I would be okay
She taught me that cats wore hats
But I said cats don’t wear hats,
But after all we went to a football match
I Like Red
I like red
It’s my favourite colour
I like red
Like all my clothes
When I’m feeling happy
I know it’s such a festive colour
It’s so much joy
On this festive hour
I like red
It’s my favourite colour
I like red
Like all my clothes
I Am Space
I am the moon because I always shine bright.
I am the edge of a star because my heart is always smooth.
I am the core of the sun because I fuel it to set on fire.
I am a comet in space because sometimes I destroy planets.
I am the darkness of space because sometimes my heart turns black.
I am the gravity in space because sometimes I float.
Santa’s Reindeer
When Santa drives to lots of towns he likes sliding down chimneys
When he gets to the bottom he might give you a barking dog or a nice squeaking mouse
What do you think you will get in your house?
Santa’s reindeer are liked the most,
Will your reindeer have a shiny nose or will it have painted toes?
Santa on Christmas eve is always near,
What is on your Christmas list this year?
