An Idea Fell into my Head

by Hamish aged 10

An idea fell into my head
I don’t know what it is
An idea fell into my head
Where is it Miss?

An idea fell into my head
I really don’t know where
An idea fell into my head
I think it’s over there

An idea fell into my head
It was falling in my sleep
An idea fell into my head
In my brain it’s really deep

An idea fell into my head
I change and I add
An idea fell into my head
It might be really bad

An idea fell into my head
It’s something really cool
An idea fell into my head
It might be swimming in a pool

An idea fell into my head
I think it’s really big
An idea fell into my head
It might be something ’bout a pig

An idea fell into my head
It’s under my hair
An idea fell into my head
Prime or square?

An idea fell into my head
It’s sometime in June
An idea fell into my head
It’s sometime ’bout noon

An idea fell into my head
I know what it is
An idea fell into my head
It’s mine and his

An idea fell into my head
It’s a date
An idea fell into my head
I really can’t wait!

I Fell on Luck

0
by Han-Chong aged 10

I fell on luck today
When I tripped over my tray.
It just sat there,
In my chair and he was very quite fair.
As soon as luck struck,
I drove a truck
and became a billionnaire.

A Scooter Fell on my Head

by Han-Chong aged 10

A scooter fell on my head today,
On my head, there it lay.
Laughing about me getting hurt,
I will make him pay.

A scooter fell on my head again,
My head has a huge bruise.
I’m clutching my head, on my bed,
Because of my scooter (groan).

I’ll tell you the reason why,
It broke, the brake again and again and again.
I decided to watch how to fix it on telly,
But it pounced and bounced on my head.

A Car Fell on my Head Today

1
by Louis aged 10

A car fell on my head today
I really don’t know how
I was playing in the scrapyard
Viewing a plastic cow,
There was a crane with a car
And a car with a crane,
Then I saw an aeroplane!
It crashed into the crane,
The crane with the car,
And when the car fell,
It fell really far.
I had a bump,
I had a bruise,
I then had nothing really to lose,
Except a bandage,
and a plaster.
Finally the next day,
I took the plane
And flew away.

Snow

by Imogen aged 10

You meet me when my friends,
Cold wind, warm water and rising air,
All come together.

You can definitely have fun with me,
Ski, sledge and build snowmen,
Be sure to wrap up warm,
As I can get cold, icy and wet.

You will like me when I’m happy,
But beware of me when I’m angry and weak,
Often I can slide away,
To cause a raging avalanche!

Christ and Mas

1
by Leon Sterckx aged 9

Once upon a time there were two lonely seeds,
one morning they turned into a pair of trees,
One was called Christ,
The other one we named Mas,

‘t was the snowy month of December,
when Santa does his round
It’s an occasion we always remember
Because that’s the day Christ and Mas were found

Taking a Penalty

by Cian Brackley aged 10

The ball is ready and on the ground,
Inside me my heart pounds.
The whistle blows,
My legs are like jelly,
It looks so much easier on the telly.
I start running up to take the kick,
My stomach jumps,
I feel sick.
The goalie dives,
And tries to reach it,
But it goes in the top corner.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll!!!

Racism

by Prisha aged 12

Racism, racism
why do we become racist?
Is it only us or everything and everyone?
I don’t think so.

All flowers are different colors
and many grow from the same garden,
but they never complain that “Hey you are green, move away.”

We all regulated from monkey to man,
I wonder were we racist then
or we were one altogether supporting each other?

We were a happy world we used to live without racism,
what happened to us?
How and why did we become racist?

Black and white keys in the piano,
pink, blue, purple flowers in the garden,
and us who call names to different skins people saying,
“You are black, you are white”

Why to sit down and keep quiet?
Why not raise your voice and work together as a team
to stop racism?
