Teachers

Teachers are kind
some are mean
They’re like parents
They teach loads of things
Maths, Science, English
I wish I never went to school
but I will stay
I adore my friends
I like teachers though

Teachers are kind
Some are mean
They teach loads of things like English
Teachers do weird experiments
And like students, as they like coffee and tea
I wish I didm’t go school, but I don’t want to leave
Teachers are like parents, a big family

Four Riddles

I touch earth, I touch the sky, but if I touch you, you will die.
What am I?

Tread on the living they make not a mumble,
Tread on the dead they mutter and grumble.
What am I?

On the earth I am dead, though I live on the moon,
I am no creator, and I’m in every boom.
What am I?

Alright, thanks Google, now answer mine,

I am popular, people love me,
I am bad for them, but I am not free.
What am I?

Rainforest

by Samiksha aged 9

Rocks in the ground very rough,
A beautiful place to live in,
Indigenous people,
Nomads,
Forest,
On a tropical place,
Rainy,
Equatorial,
Sunny
Tall, thick trees.

I’m a rainforest!

Trees

Trees, trees,
big and small
short and tall
reaching up to the sky

Trees, trees
big and small
leaves fall
floating down to the ground

Christmas Time

0
by Loui Kosters aged 12

Christmas carols filling the air.
Happily watching festive movies.
Rudolf’s nose glowing like a goldmine.
Icy snowman bright as diamonds.
Santa’s reindeers racing round the world.
Tussling in the freezing wind.
Mugs of comforting hot tea.
Angel as a dazzling protector.
Sizzling turkey as crispy as crackling.

The Terrors of the Mountain

by Elizabeth Myatt aged 9

Walk up the hill you will see tragedy you’ve decided to face
For all you know you turn to run
But you can’t
It’s too steep, you’re too high
You tremble and tremble
As you try to scream
You can’t scream
You think I’m in trouble
But you escape and find your way home

The Space Star (a shape poem)

by Marianne Will aged 8

Stars are twinkling like flames
And bright as the sun.
Racing rocks are meteors

Offside

1
by Leon Sterckx aged 9

I am sprinting as fast as I can on the pitch
it’s nearly like Harry Potter and his snitch
all that I need is very good vision
or else it will cause a serious collision

The assistant referee flagged me offside
I said to myself could he be right?
The ref then ran to the VAR screen
BOOOOOOOO!!!!! the crowd screamed

The ref examined the screen carefully
I am standing on the pitch, waiting nervously
suddenly the ref turned round and shouted
OFFSIDE!!!!!!
