My daily routine

3
by Levi aged 11

Go out in public, take a stroll
Fall into a giant hole
Find a city full of moles
Go retrieve the ancient scroll
Go to a TV store
Then sit on one of the biggest TVs
and pretend to be one of those TV antennas.

Fortnite

Machine guns are the best,
They seem better than the rest,
They’re quick and smart,
Like a dart.

Many Skins I own,
A Black Knight is a foe,
The Ninja is sick and cool,
And at night he rules.

I’m up with the sunshine (Let’s go)
I lace up my high tops (Oh, no)…

Hi Bernice. You have to send your own poems to The Poetry Zone.

Have a go at writing a poem yourself.

Santa Claus

by Reyansh Sharma aged 10

Santa claus is coming to town,
bringing gifts all over the town,
having fun in red cloths,
wearing caps in red and white.

Getting gifts, opening them,
playing with the gifts,
dancing in the snow,
jingle bells jingle bells

Piano Piece

1
by Inés Villalobos Finigan aged 16

Play again and slur the notes
Now staccato, there you go
Up and down, now speed it up
Watch that pedal with your toe!

Wrong again: you play a C
Now play it happy, laugh aloud
Watch your fingers, keep it steady
Perk it up and make it wowed

Bang it down and wake the troops
Punch the keys and crash the cords
Think of nightmares, ugly dwarves
Think like crashing slicing swords

Slower, slower, lullaby
Try to think a happy dream
Gentle tip-toe, tinkley
It’s a story, magic theme

There you go, you’re near the end
Just trip down scales in minor B
And trill the notes with crystal bells
Nearly there, just press the C

Miraculous

Miraculous,
Simply the best,
Up to the test when things go wrong,
Miraculous,
The luckiest,
The power of love always so strong,
Miraculous!

FROM THE THEME SONG OF MIRACULOUS TALES
OF Ladybug and Cat Noir (I LOVE THIS SHOW)

Life

by Shaniya aged 11

Life is such a pain,
Always full of sadness,
We all think to ourselves:
“When will this madness stop!”
We see water flowing down people’s faces,
We see children either getting abused
Or bullied,
We see those homeless ones,
And all the poverty in the world,
We see our loved ones die,
But sweet little ones,
Do not get swallowed up into the world’s bad traits,
For I am sure this sickness will end,
But for now,
Do your best to contribute to help the world get better.

Sisters

Thinking about my older sister, Tejaswini

Sisters are not good, they’re great,
Not just a relative, but a mate,
They’ll be there wherever you go,
When they are there,
You will be safe, you will always know.

Fireworks

by Yuvanthikha Rajmohan aged 8 about to be 9!

Fireworks, fireworks burning bright,
Colourful explosions in the night,
This is a natural majestic light,
As they fly until out of sight,
The moon and the stars hide,
When they see the rockets glide,
Off they go like shooting stars,
Until they reach the Planet Mars,
It takes peoples breath away,
Shout hooray,
For the wonders of fireworks!

Isolation

by Yuvanthikha Rajmohan aged 8 about to be 9!

Lockdown, came out out of nowhere,
Covid 19 jumping here and there,
We miss our family,
Our friends we can’t see,
It came, and in the future it will be gone,
No more lockdown for everyone,
A tale that will go down in history,
That had everyone in it,
Including you and me.
