Where’s My Balloon

0
by Alfie aged 8

Where’s my balloon?
It’s not in my room
where could it be
it’s not in the tree
can anyone see
where it could be
it’s blue and round
I’ve looked all around
I ran round the house
I jumped and I hopped
I worried so much
in case it had popped.
Where’s my balloon?
It’s not in my room
Oh, there it is
gone for a trip to the moon

Lockdown

by Mahroosh Qasim aged 9

Oh Lockdown,
The whole world is on lockdown
It’s like something just came and got stuck here not allowing us to come out.
If you get the vaccination then we’ll definitely hear an “OW!”
We wish everyday
Only for it to go away

My Special Midnight Feast.

3
by Sophia aged 9

I woke up in the night so I got up out of bed,
I felt really dizzy and food was in my head.

So I crept into the corridor hoping not to make a sound,
I went around the corner and by the step was my dog, Hound.

I didn’t wake him up or he would bark without a doubt,
So I crept down the steps and heard him snoring loud.

I went down to the kitchen and I went to the fridge,
I opened the door and I saw a cabbage!

So I grabbed it with my hand and I shoved it in my mouth,
It tasted slightly weird but soon it went down south.

I grabbed some unripe strawberries but I really don’t care,
and I took hold of some chicken and threw it in the air.

I took a jar of mustard and I dumped it on a plate,
I took a grater and some cheese and then started to grate.

I found a bowl of rice and I found my last pudding,
I mixed it up together to make some rice pudding.

I scooped it up with a spoon from the dishwasher with care,
and sooner or later none of it was there.

I took some brown sugar and I took my mum’s coffee
I added in some mints and I ate some sticky toffee.

I stuck my hand in the tin and I pulled something out
There was a cookie in my hand so I gave a little shout.

I rummaged through the cupboard and found two cans,
I tipped them on a plate and grabbed a few pans.

I took a tin of soup and I boiled it in a pan,
I went to the switches and switched on the fan.

I went back to the fridge and I took some chocolate mousse,
I ate the six packets and it tasted like goose.

I ate some strawberry trifle, it went straight to my belly,
I opened an avocado and it was very smelly.

But I didn’t hesitate, no, not one bit,
I stuck it in my mouth and I felt like eating a dip.

So I grabbed some mustard, and spread it on a bun
Then I added humus and some horseradish, and ate it all in one

The soup was bubbling on the stove there was still that to make,
So I went into the fridge and took a piece of cake.

I felt like a king as I stuffed food into my face
But in a few minutes I shook my head in disgrace

I didn’t feel that well, in fact I felt very bad,
And that was the last midnight feast I ever had.

When I was little I enjoyed all shows,
but soon was I to discover the RADIO!
I love…
The Beatles were good and Little Mix too,
I love Classic, Jazz and Rock will do.

I love the Blues, Dance music and the rest,
but Rock and Roll and Hip Hop have to be the best!

TV

I play Xbox on the weekend days,
I think I’m going through a Call of Duty phase.

Anime and cartoons on Netflix I watch,
staring at the screen and chewing butterscotch.

I can’t butter my parents up so they’ll be nice
So I have to resist this tempting device

World War II

by Millie Q aged 10

Under the sun, the Spitfires fly,
Like they don’t mind, if they may die.
Bullets whistling, as they’re shot,
They’re really powerful for what seems a dot
Blood stained grass,
You’ll see it as you pass.
Babies screaming, in their beds,
Men getting shot in the head.

Spring

Grass will grow
And flowers bloom
Rivers will flow
Clean the room

Lambs will bleat
And cows will moo
Chocolate egg treat
For me and you

The sun will shine
Clouds will flee
Salty shoreline
By the salty sea

Chicks will fatten
And birds will coo
This will happen
In month two

My Favourite Book

by Jessie aged 7

When my mum takes away my iPad
I wonder what to do
Something caches my eye though a book?
Yes, a book
I love to read books
My favourite one is Harry Potter
and I can’t wait until I reach Hogwarts!
